they're a fairly new company. let's hope it don't take too long to get more states. if they get more states.

i found the file. but it's not reading. i've tried every app it asks. everything comes up a blank page.

so, what app is needed to read that file?

I haven't looked since I have an iPhone, but on Android it's likely just a plain text file. If you've got ES File Manager installed it has a text file viewer/editor.

Well, Drivewyze may be up and coming, but all of them might be moot before long. The FMCSA has just started field testing of it's own wireless truck inspection pass/no pass thing that it want's put at all the scales and other locations. Lots of data will go back and forth on a truck pass. Like driver hours of service, driver history, license and medical information, truck ECM status checks, and a laundry list of other stuff. The FMCSA is contracting the wireless provider right now, and that provider is going to recruit 10 carriers for the testing and it will cover, KY, TN, WV, NC, and SC at least, maybe even more. Once this all gets tested out and the FMCSA decides to implement, PrePass and Drivewyze will be history, at least as they are now.

Don't feel sorry for prepass. They may be the engine behind this train. They have only succeeded in putting a prepass in 1 in every 6 trucks on the road,so this would get one in all trucks. The trucking industry is by far the worst industry for the ole saying,if you can't make a good product and sell it.Just buy you some politicians and have it mandated. Truck idling,EGR,sleep apnea, eobr, prepass.Where does it end?

It doesn't end. The price of freedom in eternal vigilance. The one characteristic of government, be it Communist, Facist, Democratic Republic, the Roman Empire, the Greek Empire, whatever... is expanding their role in everyone's lives. It is the one common factor in all governments throughout time, and always will be. Now, when you have 50% of the eligible voters not even showing up, and of the 50% that do show up to vote, half of those vote for critters whose motivation is promoting government expansion. Essentially, 3/4 of the eligible voting public doesn't want to limit government in any way.

This is why, most days, I truly believe that the 7 years I spent in the military was a total waste. It was during the cold war era when we were supposedly protecting America from the tyranny of communism. Time is a cruel educator. I have found that we were protecting America from something that 3/4 of Americans actually wanted! I would have taken a different direction in my youth if I could have seen what the future would be. I sure wouldn't have wasted my time in the Army.
