Wow is Doty Bros still around? Werent they in Norwalk? I knew a guy that pulled end dump for them. He had a beautiful truck, used to be burgundy and black, out of Bill Framptons fleet

Floyd sold the company back around 2001....
-
Yes thats him. What a cool set up to have
-
I see Floyd's son Scott every now and then....He parks his Toybox in the same yard I park my stuff...
Scott's retired too..... -
So...Did you run down in SO-CAL much?....
If so....Does "Mr. Addison" or Phil Collins ring any bells? -
Does a mixer driver entail heavy labor intensive duties? Like a delivery person?
-
Oh yeah I cut my teeth on the SoCal end dump scene. Drove for my dad for a while then for Vincent down in San Clemente for a while. Bought my own and ran all over SoCal. Did a little plant work for Farino in Lake Forest. When the rates went south I got into car hauling and heavy haul but still wish i could make it happen with my lowside. I live up in Stockton now and there seems to be work up here and in the bay but the rates suck. And to answer Honey nut, no delivering mud is not labor intensive
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
Thanks Pete's, I have an injured ankle so I have to factor in how labor intensive a mixer drivers job would be.
