My husband, when hired told the recruiter as well as the trainer that he preferred running the southeast. As new hire and being on the lease purchase program he was given the only dispatcher for their 2 wk trial. This person tried for 3 days to give him northeast runs that would have had him delivering on Thursday with 3 down days in between. With no runs due to being canceled after dispatch, which at orientation were told that once a load was dispatched it could not be canceled. HA HA. This was only the beginning. This dispatcher has prepared him for the other lies and deceite that is running like wildfire through this company. My husband left last night on a sotheast run after being told there were no runs for that area.
I would like to know from the drivers out there that work for this company if this is also happening to you?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but liars and lies in trucking are as common as raindrops.Voodoo Pyg and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
not really new but learning a lot extremely fast with frustration high. This morning found out that miles were short by a lot and fuel pay was also short. Pay roll says that being a contract driver it must be investigated to be resolved. Sitting in SC waiting for a load that will bring him closer to home and waiting to see.

Unhappy, I hope you can sometime soon change your username. If that describes you NOW when you're almost brand-new to the industry, well.....
I hope you can change your name to "Happy", as it doesn't get any better than what you've seen the first year or even three. If you and your husband are going to make it to a greener pasture, you should find a way to accept the liars, con artists, and thieves you will run into in trucking. If you don't, you won't last long. A couple of months, maybe 6, and you'll be out. I say this assuming you WANT trucking to work out for you.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
JB Hunt is a HORRIBLE company to be sure. The whole reason I started this site, 5 years ago, was because of my own 3-week experience with those idiots. I thought...something has to be done...looked all over the net, NOTHING...so I did it myself. I hope the best for you and I wish ALL truckers would come here BEFORE they make OUR same mistake.

One who is Wise, it's time for the billboard. Maybe out at Laramie, Wyoming right on the big road.
Let's do it.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
Unhappy, I feel your anger and frustration. I did the lease thing with JBH for two months last year. I made money but so many problems with this company. You have to run constantly if your going to make it with them. They don't want you to ask, just do it. I'm not one to complain but they gave me there share to gripe about. From the DM (who treats you like crap), waiting for loads(hours on end), to keeping me up in the NE constantly. There trailers are terrible. Every other one I picked up needed some kind of repair.
If they didn't treat the contract drivers like company drivers. Gave them there own load board. But they throw them in the same pool with the company drivers. My suggestion about your husband. If he hasn't had that truck that long. I would turn those keys in and run like hell from JBH. Once you start giving them lip, they will screw you around. Make sure you give them notice, cause they will ping your DAC for something stupid. Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
I wish I knew this site before I gone to them. JBH is the one that pinged my DAC for a stupid tire failure. The sad part is, they can do it legally.

Yes, with another company something negative was put on his dac report. Unaware of this when he applied with JBH their investigatior found it. After 2 phone calls it was removed quite promptly. He is in the process of call some other company's or rather I have called them. They are not on the bad company list or the good company list. However he has talked to some of there drivers while on the road. I really appreciate all of the comments good bad or indifferent that you all have made. I want to make just like wiseone said that others dont make the same mistake that we did
Steel Dragon Thanks this.
