Ok I have a slight glimpse of this HOS stuff...However, there seems to be an exception for short haul so I would like to get some help on this scenario......

Chattanooga TN to Rome GA. 160 miles round trip

To stay in the HOS rule isn't it very likely to turn 3 trips a day without having to obey the HOS or the 30 mins "rest break" since I'll be at the drop every 1.5-2 hrs?. If I can run that in an 1.5 hrs (one way) shouldn't it be pretty simple to do 3 a day??????

As long as you stay within 100 air miles of Chattanooga you are short haul exempt. Yes you can make 3 runs unless there are unnecessary delays at the customer or traffic like more than an hour total each round trip. If it's all drop/hook it shouldn't be a problem.

    TAC12 Thanks this.
