Hey Guys( and Gals ),I'm going to Buy a Used Truck at the end of the Year, and would like to ad the following.

Just wanted to know what I'm Looking at with Parts & Labor, and the Item in Question.

A New Turbo for either a Cummins,or Detroit.

    A Tri-Pac New,and Used. ( Is a used one just as reliable as a New one ? ).

    A New Reliable 2000+ Watt Power Inverter. ( Which Brand ? ).

    A New Reliable Refigerator.

If someone knows where I can Buy ALL these Items in Florida ?....Input is appreciated.

Be Safe out there, and Keep on Truckin '.

Cummins/Holset turbo is $4K average with the labor. There are chipper alternatives, but not Holset. Not sure for Detroit, I heard it's cheaper then the Cummins one.

The new TK Tripac is around $11K installed, a little more if you'll opt for the arctic package, stainless steel covers or extended warranty. Used are around $5-6K.

2000+ plus watts basic inverter runs around $250-300, you will need heavy gauge cables which are around $100-150. If you want premium stuff like Xantrex inverter or inverter/charger, those can cost between $500 to $800, depends on the model.

Can't help on the fridge, as all my trucks had one built in.

The Tri-pac comes with a 1700 watt inverter, at least all of the ones we used did. I'd recommend new, unless you found one with lower hours and fairly new that hadn't been in a wreck.

The inverter has the Thermo-king brand on it but is made by one of the premium manufacturers from what I was told, possibly Xantrex.

fridge can go up to 1500 installed by the dealer if the truck wasn't set up for it.
