They probably couldn't get the discounted price they want so they boycott the state. Add that to the other 11 states on the forbidden fuel list.
my book has 7 secondary locations in PA prior to them taking their ball and going home...so to speak
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I wouldn't consider a fuel ban in PA micro-management. In fact, it means we drivers must plan our trips with a little more scrutiny since management doesn't do it for us. -

Can one of you guys with a truck GPS see what the routing would be from Artesia, NM to Alamogordo, NM? Atlas says road US82 is restricted along a portion of it with the listing (16miles 6% grade). I was thinking of taking an alternative route to Phoenix to change up things and I have the time (actually shorter mileage this way). If not legal may just take the trip through Roswell and then hit US70 through Ruidoso. Thanks for the help.

Well Jerry said that it looks like not fueling in Pa is going to be permanent. Fuel prices went up and he said they are adding non diesel filler to the fuel. I could not find anything about that second part in the 5 minutes i was interested in doing so on google. That and them taking it out of the new fuel books( i didn't get one) its a permanent thing.

I just read on the forum that it is a 65' limit and immediate use only (need to use it for pu or del not a thru route)
When I ran in that area I used 70...but then again I had 1 stop in Artesia and another stop in Roswell so 70 was the routeLast edited: Apr 19, 2014

Yep, 65 length and must have retarder brakes. I'd go around if heavy.

Thanks guys, Roswell it is then.
