100% turnover in truckload. So I guess 100% of the people that look at big trucks have a bad attitude.

So you think the majority of drivers have no one to blame but themselves because of how they were treated at their company huh?You have no idea.Sure some of the companies are on the up and up and some of the drivers aren't happy unless they do complain. But most of the complaints, concerns and issues from members are legitimite.I see you're a student, gee imagine that. One day you'll be on here complaining.Ive been in this game since 2002.I have had some good companies and mostly bad ones.Alot of the drivers that do complain have exp and they know what they're talking about. You sir have zero exp but you seem to know everything about companies and have no clue what the drivers that complain have went thru with their company.Just because one driver likes the company does not mean its the perfect fit for the next driver.Werner for example, some drivers really like the company and some hates it there.CRENGLAND the same thing,Schneider,Crete ect ect. Some drivers have good dispatchers and others aren't so lucky. Also drivers are on different divisions different accounts, reg, otr dedicated. Many things plays a role why they hate it there.

Well, TTR probably wasn't the place to voice a legitimate concern and observation about the rampant negativity in the trucking industry and how it affects prospective drivers, student drivers, rookies, and veterans alike. For the record, just because I haven't put any miles behind me yet doesn't mean I can't learn from the experience of other drivers with years of driving experience. The argument that I have no idea what I'm talking about or can't form a sound judgment on the state of affairs of a particular industry, just because I've yet to work in that industry, is ridiculous. It's called listening to the experiences of others. Having a basic understanding of people will enable anybody to see that there are complainers with a victim mentality in all different work environments. It just so happens that in the trucking industry it is rampant. Any casual observer can see that.
Simply put, as another fellow has said, experience trumps an argument - and thankfully a hoard of bad attitudes and complainers! I've been blessed with the opportunity to meet many veteran drivers who prove that anybody can be successful at any company and have respect in an industry that others would say is out to cheat, ruin, and disrespect every driver. I only hope other people interested in becoming truck drivers have the same opportunity and don't succumb to the negativity.
I'm sure there's a lot of respectful, kind, and hard-working drivers on this forum. Too bad they're overshadowed by all the rabble. No wonder this forum has its reputation - it's sad really. -
It is human nature to act that way but your attitude if chosen to can be changed to do other than the norm and that was what I believe he was trying to get at. -
You have your concern and we have ours. There's no need to tell us we have bad attitudes because we don't like a company.Only one I see with a bad attitude is you.Since u posted this thread you have done nothing but complain. For this forum having a reputation, there sure are a lot of active members on it.Do you think you're above us or what? You sir are so not ready for trucking and with this attitude you have displayed,I doubt you ever will be.
bigdogpile Thanks this. -
Point in hand all I ever heard was negitive about the company I am at now except from one person and I gave it a shoot and they bend over backwards to help and do it right by the driver. So I am happy and others are as well.

Maybe so but how is worded things as I see it was disrespectful. Here you can agree to disagree but do it respectfully. There's no need to come on here saying all bad things about the ones that complain about companies. There is nothing positive in any of his posts.

What we have here is a crusader, like Billy Graham (remember him) out to save the n00bz from getting their minds poisoned by all the heathens out on the roads slammin gears and slammin companies. He must've had a callin I reckon. A vision come to him in his dorm ;p
Shaggy Thanks this. -
Here's the deal, Bill. We get all kinds of wannabe's on here that seem to already know everything there is to know and don't really post to get answers, but post to stir the pot. That's how your post here was taken, and honestly, until you have walked the walk, then talking the talk is a little tough, now isn't it?
We've had umpteen people come on here saying that they think that all the hype about CRE, Werner or Swift is nothing but a bunch of blow hard whiners, and they go ahead and sign up with those companies, and then, about the time they get to the second week in a trainers truck, they are moaning and complaining that it isn't what they expected it to be.
The only thing that we have to say at that point, is: You were warned and you did it anyways.
See TTR is sort of a "review" site for these companies, just like the little stars on any shopping site that let you know customers are happy with the purchase of that new microwave or TV.
So, if you want to NOT believe all the bad reviews on here, fine, be my guest. Its your prerogative. But don't come on here and tell our members that their opinions are nothing but a bunch of whining hot air. Many of them have spent numerous hours chronicling their experiences with said companies, in hopes of keeping one more person from making the same mistake they did.
It's not going to be received well, as it shouldn't.bigdogpile, Roadmedic, TankerYankr and 4 others Thank this.
