Hey all been busy with moving and work so haven't been on here much. Just updating. Everything still good here. Debating right now which way to go. In the next month or so going to sell my truck. Either do a lease with them. Or buy a new truck. I don't know if I want to be tied in with another truck for 5 years. If my fiancées business takes off in Dallas. I may get out all together. Granted we have all heard that before.

I have never driven for DART nor would I ever. I work for one of their ex customers and they were the WORSE carrier we have ever had. The average truck was two days late, we have to either call an independent contractor to pull their trailer to our DC or have SNI pull the load. DART got so bad with not having enough trucks that any trailer at our plant that was supposed to be loaded would not be loaded until DART tractor was connected to it. Also, we had our own fleet truck leave hours after the DART truck did would get to us before DART would. Our trucks are limited to 65 mph. DART trailers are beyond dis-repair, I have had trailers that the lights didnt work, landing gear that would only go up on one side, holes in the roof, etc. even the new lightweight trailers were beat to hell. I had one driver come in with a flat super single that was only staying aired up due the air lines being connected but as soon as the air is disconnected the tire went flat. When I comes to the lease trucks the the Volvos are a joke. For all the options they take out to make it lighter I could spec out a peterbilt with TWO fuel tanks, TWO working drive axles and a bigger engine and still beat their light weight of 31,000lbs without having to worry about getting stuck in wet grass, snow, etc. When it comes to the used trucks they are leasing out are just as bad. These trucks were way past their prime and DART was leasing them out to guys for more then what it would cost to buy a truck brand new.

Im sure this is going to anger the pro DART drivers on here but this is all truthful information. We are not the only company getting rid of DART. We are actually paying SNI more to haul our loads but at least they can get loads to us when they are supposed to arrive, and for the most part a day early.

Welcome back, just got back on the forum myself this week, laptop got some virus issues I
had to take care of. I talked to Phil about three weeks ago about updating to new, very
receptive. Have to wait though, didn't have any new Volvos specd the way I like them.
Nothing wrong with my 17,600 lb 2012 630 Volvo, just like that new truck smell, know what
I mean? Good luck in what ever you decide to do!

These guys are by far below Swift, Schneider, Werner, CrEngland, and whoever else you wanna throw in there. Ladies n gentlemen I say, lets put Dart under the scope, and REALLY get at em. Believe me, these guys play dirty, dirty, dirty...

Well if have been with dart about 3 months now. No problems with them consistently bring home between 900 and 1000 a week after everything. I'm home every weekend.
BUT if things were to go the other way it wouldn't stick around for more than a week. It have never understood drivers that say it was so horrible and they have been in the hole for the past month or whatever. That just don't make sense.

Not sure what was going on your way but I worked forDART out of Lancaster TX and they were real good to me. They did everything as promissed and when I had to leave due to heart problems, they gave me no grief. We were always on time wirh our loads except one time due to being stuck in MO due to an ice storm. Our equipment was always good and we only had to stop one time for a trailer repair, point: "we got repairs".

I just left dart after 7 years with them. They are a great company and wouldn't talk bad them. I did well there. However I wanted to try something different. See if its possible to do better. I signed with cargill. And will see how it goes here.

i left dart under good terms though so if it does t work I will be back. Currently on my 2nd load with Cargill.
