I'll echo others in saying multiple joint issues in the same position is nearly always a problem with the yoke. That said stealing fuel could end up in the grand theft catagory. If youve got your last few fuel receipts and mileage from your last fillup you could likely file charges. Im sure the shop owner would love his business name in the paper for stealing fuel.
The T/A replaced the number 1 u-joint on my driveline and now...

I'll place the shops name in my post to help spread the word when anyone doing a search for back truck repair shops.
Blackwell's Truck and Service in Mobile, Al is a ripoff truck repair & tow service, beware of them.
I guess back in my days I was very fortunate to never find myself in such a shop, I feel sure there's lot's of ripoff shops all across this county, perhaps more now days than in yesterday years.
Sorry you had to find out the hard way. I surely hope what boneebone stated will come true.codyschmidt Thanks this. -
Not much to update...Tomorrow will be day 16 being broken down and repairs will not be complete until after the memorial day holiday.

I just had to replace the carrier bearing, yolk and one u joint in the front section of my drive shaft. took it out of truck and delivered it to Six States at 11 am. They had it done by 5 pm and I was back on the road by 7.
I did talk to a couple shops with estimates of repair time between 2 days and 2 weeks.
There are still some good shops out there -
The repair involves more than the yoke and driveline.....I need all new wiring from under the hood all the way to the back...when the u-joint gave out the driveshaft took out all the electrical and air lines under the truck, it even managed to yank the wires from under the hood....so that is why it is taking longer than just to replace the yoke and driveline.
However Freightliner had the truck in the shop 2 full days just to estimate the damage and see what all needs to be done.
Right now I am very frustrated because when it is all said and done, I will have had no revenue for the month of may. -
You claiming it on insurance?

trying to....still waiting on the estimate from Freightliner to figure out the costs.
