No personal experience with the company, but I've had the chance to talk to some of their drivers over the past few years at Confluence Energy in Kremmling. The ones I've talked to speak pretty highly of the company, but they do acknowledge that there are some things here and there that are a bit of a nuance to them, which kinda leads me to have a little more faith in their sincerity... drivers who inflate their company are more prone to making it sound like a magical land of milk and honey.
@MackE6: While I can understand your suspicion, you have to consider that Domenico isn't a very large company, at all, and most of their employees are going to be from Denver and the surrounding area. I mean, it would be one thing if we were talking about a town of 200 people, but we're not.

OK thanks, I haven't talked to any drivers, I worked with one that used to work them and went back to them so... and that's understandable about a few things here or there that are nuisance, if there was a perfect company everyone would want to work for them. But if the good outweighs the bad then I guess that's what matters.

I'm flattered you think I sound like management...just a company guy!! I knew our safety record was good, I didn't know it was THAT GOOD! I guess it's proof when I say I work with some of the best professional drivers here.

For being "just a company guy" why is it that you're using an email with the company's name in it?
Not that it really matters, but I want our members to know who they're talking to.TheJrodTest, PhillipJSmith, Jaxx34 and 1 other person Thank this. -

And yes, they did pay decreases, and paid driver more for driving and then minimum wage for on duty time.., real classy -
Domenico lost their super cushy deal with King Soopers about a year ago because of screw-ups by the owner of tried to jack rates and back charge Kings for things that were his responsibility. They are now pulling anything they can get their hands on to stay in business. When they lost the Kings deal, they lost a ton of drivers, most like their regional/short haul gigs that got them home regularly. We had probably 15 come and apply at our place, not a single one had anything good to say about Domenico.
Oh, and a little more about Domenico, they are tied in with the family that runs Western Trans. and formerly Mile Hi Fruit and Veg. that went out of business earlier this year due to stupidity on the part of the owner. Actually, they are all one big ext. family, who try to stay separate in their business dealings.LoneCowboy, Milkman719 and superflow Thank this. -
Thnx striker ....
That's puts alot of light on these people ,kindve sounds like my company ,we build the company up and the owner gets stuck in la la land ,starts destroying everything we build because the owner loves money so much he can never have enough of it ....there's a flip side of this also ....i have worked for laid back easy goin guys that shared the blessings and it seemed like money just fell from the skies on them ,sure they would fire your butt quickly but only for a good reason -
**edit to my above comment**, Mile Hi Fruit and Veg. should read Federal Fruit and Produce.
