I have narrowed it down to Four Star transportation and PGT, flatbed for both. Does anyone have any input on either of these companies? Any other flatbed or step deck companies hiring around Ohio? All input appreciated.

Melton has a terminal up by Youngstown. Not a bad company, money is good and all around I'm pretty happy here. We got bs here that every other company has just not as much.

    FBinthesticks Thanks this.

Melton is begging me to go there but even though I have 2 years trucking 7 months flatbed they still want to send me with a trainer. And pretty low pay offer of .37 per mile

Ok that's why. You may have to do a short stint of training at any company if all your experience is local.

Four Star won't have me with a trainer. PGT says maximum 1 week.

Yea then I'd probably go with one of them. Never heard of 4 star but heard a lot of good about PGT from their drivers I've loaded with.
