2013 KW T800 with 6400 miles. Got a SCR/DEF Service Required Message in the display window. 10 Miles later the Wrench in engine light came on. Got to a parking area where I was going to leave the trailer. Get unhooked and the stop engine lamp is displayed.

Find cummins shop. Find towing company, who can't tow until today.

Come this morning no lights are on no warnings. What would you do?

Drive to cummins shop spend lots of money, so they can't find anything?

    Is it not under warranty?

It should be, but the nearest cummins shop told me it would be $600 to hook the computer up to it.

I've never had a truck with warranty, so I don't know for sure how to handle this.

Computerized crap. Had to get it warm enough. Now to just wait for the towing company to wake up/call me.

warranty will pay even if they do not allow the techs to do any repairs, like if they tell them to just clear the codes and road test. If the shop is trying to make you pay than that sounds a little shady. Especially $600 bucks just to hook up to it.

Yep, after hours emergency call ins are different and may not be covered by warranty. You may just have to wait till Monday.

I'm looking at a warranty booklet for a WS and can't find where it states the time or day I could bring the truck in for repairs. If it doesn't state it, it is their problem when it happens, not the owner's.

If they are open and it is under warranty they can not will not charge you. If it is after hours that is a different deal

That argument is between you and your dealer. If Cummins agrees to pay time service call time, and/or service manager is ok not charging the after hours fees, then cool. I don't think it says anywhere if you break down on a Sunday that somebody has to work on your truck right then and there.
