I agree I will miss pulling the doubles at night. I deff have a few screws loose to enjoy that. Never will get to do triples, but I wouldn't mind trying turnpike or Rocky Mountain. Both of those are allowed on the NY thruwa.

You're definitely right about the favoritism. We have 3 guys that start at 6:30 and those runs were never put up for bid. And one of them has a 9:00 bid. So when he gets back from his first run he leaves an hour late every day on his bid run, and other people get stuck with all the late pickups in his area.:protest:

Must be nice to be one of the favorites.:banghead:

It's not just english or psych, I have a lot of friends in healthcare and other medical fields jealous.

At our terminal we only have 1 dock guy and he's casual. All the dock work is done by checker/drivers. We have I think 4 line guys we load in the evenings. I really like the senior guy line driver, I learn the most from him. When he's in I pay special attention and he's patient and clear with his instructions on what he wants me to do. He will see me standing around looking for something to do and give me some work before the supervisor walks in and gives me BS work to do. But all our runs are seniority based, hence I can't wait until we get 2 more drivers hired lol.

What do you mean by wait time?

my gf is finishing nursing school, the job she's getting will have her making more than me. Plus she gets a bonus for speaking multiple languages ( from Europe). We get barked at if we stop working for 5 seconds. I once stopped to look at my bills and the supervisor kept saying you have to keep working not allowed to stop, was very nasty about it too. I said right back are you kidding me, why does the part timer go out for smoke breaks every 5 min and does nothing all night and I'm busting my @$& and even come on 2 hours early to help the outbound out

Good luck. I hope you get that job. Some of those guys have "blogging" policies in place. It is good that you keep that info under your hat before you start shouting out carriers.
