@Boy Howdy I'm not posting the name till further notice as I want to finish probation first as I don't know the companies policies yet. I will say it's a smaller regional carrier, offers a sweet pension, and very laid back, even more so than YRC. They don't pay as much as the bigger companies but like I said they don't bother you. UPSF is becoming CWF-2 as all their ex higher ups are coming over. Also some other issues I'm having with them.

@Big don I'll just send the gf after her lol. She gets mad when another woman yells at her man hahahahaha. I'll YouTube the cat fight for you

I no longer drive right now. I am in my last semester of college, then probably off to law school.A friend of mine told me about a part time weekend linehaul run at OD, so I might go see whats up with that..Miss hooking and dragging wagons. 2 days a week is enough for me.

I'd think long and hard about law school, unless you happen to know that law really appeals to you. I thought about it too a decade ago when I finished college. For the money an MBA might be more versatile and open more doors for you.

I stumbled across this article recently and got a kick out of it:

OD is not bad - I worked for them for 10 months. They keep the nonsense to a tolerable level compared to some of the other outfits but of course it varies some from terminal to terminal. My only major gripe of any substance with them is their overtime policy for hourly employees, but that wouldn't affect you as a line driver.

Yea I'm looking at a few schools that do a 3 year joint law degree/MBA..It's around 110,000 a year.
Where in NYC are you? I left that communist hellhole over two years ago and I refuse to go back. My dream is to go to Columbia or NYU, but I am vry turned off by the prospect of living in NYC again.

Well there's lots of good schools the country and name recognition is important at that level. If one were lucky enough to actually get accepted to Columbia or NYU, it's pretty much a golden ticket inside of a Wonka bar.

I'm in Brooklyn (Bushwick), which is personally my favorite part of NYC to actually live in. Some parts of Queens are decent too I guess.

ok, here's another rant. How come before any ob trailer leaves our dock all cargo has to be secured with load bars, air bags, skids, rope etc. and a pic taken before it's sealed...yet we get a set from one of our other terminals, I won't say which but it's in the state that's round at both ends and hi in the middle, a set that goes to one of our largest accounts...and every time we have to break it, back it into our docks, and reload it what we like to call the correct way. Seriously the last set had a really tall skid on top of a shorter one with a 2' gap between it and the back door. No load bar to brace it. The short one crushed and the tall skid leaned and slid into the door. Luckily it was a roll up because if it was a barn door all that #### would have been on the floor or crushed someone. The items also had a tilt indicator so the customer knows they ###### up. Had to rewrap 2 skids on the other trailer because they were not supported right and came apart scattering roughly half a million little boxes across the back of the trailer. I just love wasting an hour or 2 of my time redoing someone else's shoddy work. And I am told we have to do this with every trailer we get from that terminal. Seriously?
