top paying tanker company

    hey guys,anybody know who is todays top paying tanker company in the industry?
    Indian river are claiming they pay up to .60/mile for food grade hauling

    Yeah, you believe that. I will bet that they are in the mid 30 cpm range.



    Indian River "bread and butter" is milk and I do not know any milk hauling outfit that is worth writing home about. They are all cheap and cheaper.

    Superior is probably close to being one of the top paying tanker companies. They strive for driver retention so money talks. We are paid pretty well.

    I believe .60 is team pay .When I was there in 2007 I was getting .34 as a solo

    Not sure who's the best paying but the affiliate I work for pays percentage and average well above 50cpm and many loads pay me over a $1.00 cpm

    I doubt we are the top paying. For someone just starting out we can't be beat but the lack of increases for experience limits growth.

    Its hard to say what company pays best because so much is determined by the loads you pull. There are good and bad loads at every company. Longevity at a company generally gets you those better loads. Cost of living plays a factor as well. 80K in California is about equal to 60K in NC and the guy in NC will own a bigger house.

    I remember seeing those Indian River drivers hauling wine out of California; it was a big contract at the time. Do they still do that?

    They will haul anything that is a food grade liquid.

    What about tanker companies delivering to gas stations, etc. ? Home daily, 2 days off a week, benefits, $50k+ a year, etc. Sounds way better than any OTR tanker company.
