Any hope the 34 hour rule will get repealed?

Yep that's what that new law will do to you that's why this congresswoman had it slipped into the transportation bill- she rode with a trucker and has enough sense to see what could happen.

 

How 'bout this??

12 hours on, 12 off. Three 30-minute breaks in those 12 work hours. And for every 7 days worked, you must be given 2 days (48 hours) hometown. So if you're out 3 weeks, you get 6 days off. 4 weeks, 8 days.

Seems workable to me...

 

Ted Cruz and at least two other Senators also sees the damage it can do.

Ted has openly said he supports the bill and the other two co-sponsored the bill with Kelly. Will it pass? whoknows but at least it has support in Congress.

 

Ted and Rand Paul backed our trucker strike back in October. So did Michelle Bachman

 

This week. No telling on the next week.

Politicians will say whatever the mood is.

This has been discussed with them for over TWO YEARS.

LOL I don't hold mybreath for anything anymore- either it will happen or it wont. Done gotten so old I cant hold it long?LOL

 

I seen that it was not going to go away, so 1 year before, I started running with the break of 30 in the day under 8 hours.

Then 2 months before I started running without the restart.

When it came in to play, I did one restart and then did another to see how they would work with the restriction. Just went to recap and not did one since July.

 

Yea it does definitely need to go away but I guess it will depend on how much money is involved?
