the UNION spent lots and lots of money to get the 8 hour lunch break, and the two periods of 1-5 am included in the 34 hour reset... to more match up with what they want. And since we do NOT vote for the FMSCA, we have NO control over what they do...

when you find a politician at the federal level that represents we the people, please let us all know. NONE of them represent the people, as money talks, and the money comes from the corporations... does NOT matter what political party they are affiliated with.

ironic.... don't like the government control of your hours of work, yet you want the government to regulate the companies, and force more regulations on you...

I would love something like that. Last time I had a job where I actually had 2 full days off was in the 80s.

Yep this exactly; with the money = speech ruling by SCOTUS this now not a democracy but rather a plutocracy.

My .02 is that if we shut the trucks down; it'd wake these stooges up; mutually assured destruction (MAD) though, so it'll never happen.

Yea if they are going to regulate a trucker, they need to regulate everybody that has anything to do with trucking. They expect us to stick with these idiotic regulations but then give a freehand to the people whom we are at the mercy of (Shippers and receivers). If you cant see the problem in that, then my friend you are blind! If you are going to regulate us, then you need to regulate the ones who have control of us. Doesnt take an overly smart individual to figure that out?
