Ya that's right, my dad had one on a truck In the 80s and 90s,had a graph bar on the column that recorded speed to, he was hauling propane and they didn't want them going over 55 mph

I'd be interested in how you are doing this, same motor I'm running in my kw. I'm still going to run paper as long as possible but to know there is an alternative that complies would be nice

Rush Peterbilt in Tye, Tx installed it. Its a QUALCOMM version landstar got for him. I think there are better systems out there, but that's what they use. There were no electronics added just hard wired it to his system. I have heard there is an app out now for those that have a smart phone. Hope this helped.

the problem is that no one with any intelligence wrote the specs for the EOBRs and listened to the companies who make the - like Qualcomm.

I think this is important that we fight the specs so if they are forced on us, we can use apps on phones (which work too) or have them self-contained.

Hard wired to his system? My truck has no system to hard wire into. And I heard there's a good app that dot is accepting g as logs, I'll have to look into that as well
