    Now that's a good idea.

That's what I intend to do if I get fired from this job, I'ma gonna drive me a skool bus :D Of course, I'll have to get that endorsement. But, that's a no brainer.

Oh...and I'll have to buy a new Louisville slugger too.

You'll also have to get a criminal background check for the school bus driving job. This is to make sure no pedophiles or perverts are driving the kiddies.

To clear things up... the thread titled:

    "Werner Trainer Craps Himself"
Got me second guessing the whole "Training" thing

I can't find anyone in Houston hiring Class B drivers with no experience.

Thats why I started looking into OTR jobs, because they train and hire newbies.

I am blackballed for other reasons, My background is clean.
    I am not a pedophile!
    I don't want to drive a bus.

If anyone has a company to suggest that might hire me for my class B in the Houston area, I would appreciate that.

Or maybe if you know of any commercial Rigging companies. I just can't work in the Chemical plants or Refinery's for 2 years.

I have been driving dumptruck for a year and the pay was great,18.50
the only problem is season runs from april to nov.
This year the company bought another truck company and now I am lower on list to be called back.
I decided to go flatbedding for sherman brothers and i do this knowing it will be hard work and little pay.
I have only been driving 1 year and this was with a truck and transfer set up 16 speed kenworth 500 series(1975 model)old old truck, but I did enjoy this job and kinda liked that old truck.
I dont know about sherman brothers, but they seemed nice and were honest with me.
I know I wont be home everynight and a little harder then dump truck but over all I should make a little more money and get to see a lot more country.
Right about now rock and construction companys are hiring for the season, the pay is good but remember you get layed off in nov..
    good luck!

Have you by chance checked out CDL Express in Houston? They might be able to help you.

I just searched for Class B driving jobs in Houston and there seems to be quite a few. There was one there for Coke. You may have already tried this, but if not, do a search. Also, contact your employment agency, if you have not already tried that. Something good will come up for you. Just need to think positive. :biggrin_25519:

I know a guy who went to Coke right out of the CDL mill. The guy hit the jackpot. We made fun of him for getting a job driving a straight truck, but guess what? The guy is still there 13 years later and is still as happy as a pea in a pod. Most from my mill class lasted 6 months or less at their first jobs. Some lasted only a few weeks. We were stubborn and wanted to drive them bihhhggg trucks. We went to the sewer jobs and he went to Beverly Hills.

Driving for Coke, Pepsi, or MGD isn't a bad way to go at all.

I can proudly say that I have been training for seven years or so and I have never crapped myself.

I saw a dude doing this. The best part was he apparently got jealous of the mobile types cuz he lugged the whole shebang into the truckstop and set up camp at a table. He was playing one of those loser...I maen role playing games with it. I though the waitress was gonna have a fit when he started setting up.
