Hello folks. Looking for extensive information about I/C or O/O. What are the best things to look for as far as a lease/purchase program? What would be a reasonable minimum/mile to run for in a lease or own my own truck? Tired of the company driver scene. I'll have 1 yr exp out of the way in about 6-7 days. If anybody can tell me strait up, no bullsh** about their company and how things REALLY are, as well as how to survive driving for them, i'll entertain signing on as a company driver for a while.

Thanks and hope you all stay safe out there on those crazy roads.

I just found out Groendyke pays .52 cpm loaded and .40 cpm empty plus all the other pay we get. But I heard we are getting another raise so maybe that will bring us up closer to that.

There was a sign recruiting company drivers at the Trimac terminal in Geismer La advertising 55 loaded, 47 empty. Hopefully Ethos will start his thread soon since he just started with them.

It never hurts to prime the pump. Let's start a bidding war.

Trimac pays really well. No complaints there.

I did not realize Trimac paid that much. I thought I was doing fairly well. Now I am starting to feel a little short changed....

I will do a thread but I need more time, as I want to be fair. Plus it's so hard to directly compare Schneider to Trimac. I'll do it though.

From what I've gathered, for the most part pay seems to be a wash when it's all said and done. There's more you have to factor in that equation than simply pay per mile. Some companies pay a lot on the mile but then have an accessory pay package that is lacking. Or maybe their insurance is crazy expensive.

Realize all I did was read a sign on the fence. I have no idea what the actual deal is.

You also have to look at what is going on where you live. In my situation Superior is about as good as it gets. I could try to run for a company out of Charlotte but that would make home time more difficult them being 90+ miles away.

Yeah our insurance is good. My wife works for BCBS and we have the family plan through Superior because its less expensive and better coverage. It must be subsidized heavily if an employee of the same insurance company can't get it cheaper.

That is insane. I would have assumed bcbs employees would get top tier coverage for little or no cost as a perk of the job.
