The morons were definitely out in full force today on the PA turnpike. A good mixture of scared wimps with the extremely reckless lead footers all in a mixed bag of screwed up drivers. Then there were all of the after hours wasted drivers on us30 through Ohio and indiana that couldn't drive straight sober, let alone drunk.

Well now I am in Findlay OH just made my delivery but no empties. Gonna have to call in soon because obviously the box planner is too involved in his game of World of Warcraft to find me an empty.

So I go over to Walmart and spend 18 minutes trying to figure which end of the store the restroom is at because the signs that say RESTROOM appear to be a clever scheme to get you to walk up and down every isle in the store in order to entice you to buy something. Finally, after a 3 mile walk I get to the restroom and its closed.

Oh well, that can wait. So I go back up front to the Subway. I order my sub and some cookies and there is one cookie left after I get my three. The girl making the sub is being all nice and flirty with me because I am obviously a very handsome young man, according to my Grandma. She offers me the last cookie, so I say sure and think she is going to give me a free cookie.

Then we go to the register and she is reading off the total for everything and says that'll be blah blah for the sub, and 1.90 for the cookies because of the extra one.

    WTF?

I see the plan. I see the plan all along. Get me to go along with taking the last cookie, act like you are going to give it to me for free, then charge me at the very end for that very last cookie that you were going to throw away anyway before you put the new batch out.

**** Subway. I will order Jimmy Johns delivery to my truck now before I shop at a subway again.

That is all the excitement I have to report so far for today.

Time to call in and refuse to be put on hold until they find me an empty trailer.

For ****s sake this bull**** pisses me off.

Call in and get told that box planners are running behind and they're going to try to get me approval to bobtail and then they'll send an update.

Sit around for and hour and a half and the Qualcomm finally turns off. At around 2 hours turn on the ignition so it can boot back up, it connects and sure enough I have a message saying that when they called the customer to get the approval to bobtail, the customer said that load didn't exist and they don't have ANY going to Carlisle. WTF???

So now stuck here in Findlay with no load to Carlisle that paid 2.36 a mile, no load home, trying to work something out at the last minute which from looking at the load board doesn't look like it will happen.

    ****.

Well I decided to suck it up and after 8 months of having successfully avoided all states that I consider to be the Northeast I am taking a load to NY. Not NYC or even really close to that area, but still it is NY and you know how I feel about that. This feels like I'm dividing by zero or something. Pretty sure I'll hit that state line and the wheels will fall off the truck or something. I'm scared, someone hold me.

Guess I'm too stubborn to let that ****ing cancelled load screw up my good week.

After I deliver if need be I will bobtail straight down 81 to Carlisle to purge myself of the plague.

OH AND WE'RE ALREADY OFF TO A GREAT START, CUSTOMER REQUIRES A "FOOD GRADE" TRAILER FOR THE EMPTY DROP AND BOX PLANNERS JUST SEND DVIR REPORTS FOR A TA93XXXX SOMETHING TRAILER AS AN EMPTY FOR ME TO PICK UP. YEAH THIS ALREADY A BAD SIGN.

If you're in Findlay still head up to @2221634 (HD) and you might be able to take what you want.
