Hello, I've posted a few threads on the site before about my situation. I have 4 years experience driving but my previous company put the auto transmission restriction on my license and I have no endorsements so im currently taking care of that and found a good company in San Bernardino, ca. Called jiffy's truck rental. It was advertised in the dmv CDL manual so I gave em a call and spoke to the owner and its exactly what I need. I have a job lined up but until I get this restriction removed and endorsements added on, I cannot put my application in officially. My question to you guys is what new information has come out or changed since i last took my dmv test in August of 2010, and where can I find that info and also what links or websites are good for training, refreshing, and practicing written tests? I've been down this road once and it was not hard for me to pick up. Im a self motivator and I know its going to take a lot of self-studying to learn. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Just a little FYI on me im 36 years old and live in SoCal and i used to work for the electrical utility company as a Groundman and Lineman but things did not work out for me and my family so im busting my butt to use the training and license given to me for free by that company to set me up for something else. Anyone else go through the same situation or is my case kind of rare?
