You have been on the position of guilty on the issue.

You are right. You have the right to the opinion. I am not in objection to that. I do not stand up for the accident. I only stand that I am not passing judgment on the issue since I do not know ALL of the facts. I also believe in the right to a fair trial.

He is guilty of an automobile accident. Are there other circumstances? I do not know.

I am just seeing the people on this forum hanging him out to dry and doing it with no problem. How many of them walk on water and are perfect is just something to look at.

An accident in a truck is a never win.

A friend I was running ahead of was struck by a speeding car in the rear of the trailer and they flipped into the median. If they had wore seat belts, the one would not be paralyzed. My friend was found guilty because he was a truck driver. The insurance paid the claim.

I am suggesting to many on here to step back and look at their posts and see if they are being fair. What if he had a sneezing fit and it is the result. God forbid if he yawned because the day was getting over. I would love to see a perfect driver and see how they never make a mistake or error in judgment or speed or come close to an accident.

Other drivers is the reason I have a dash cam. We do not even know if the driver here had one. I would not tell a cop I did at an accident. It is for my protection in court. Think maybe that is possible?

28 minutes to go 22 miles is not impossible. And I agree HOS is just one factor, but its a factor the lame stream media is using to try to convict him so I responded to it to prove it has no relevance in this case. He could have done the trip legal, even though they say he couldnt have. As for not braking, I agree with the others that he did brake or else there would have been a lot more dead than there was. Anti lock brakes are anti lock brakes and thats one reason they created them, to keep drivers from sliding flat spots in brand new tires, of course there were safety issues too. As for speeding, have you seen the proof? I havent? And Im sure not going to take the word of a media that hates me? So they can either document it or talk to the wall, doesnt matter to me.

As far as Im concerned, it would take a lot more evidence than what Ive seen to get me to convict that driver of gross negligence and putting a man in prison for murder is gross negligence unless you have the proof to back it up.

Not me. He rear ended the bus while doing 20 mph over the speed limit. The looks of the vehicles, the limo wasn't doing 65 too. He was. I hope he enjoys New Jersey.

What about the governed trucks that don't blow by you in towns or construction zones? You know the ones doing the speed limit?

I drive a 62mph truck. I don't speed thru towns or construction zones.

I tend to agree with this statement. Time and time again, out on the big road I will pass a governed truck, then come to a speed reduction. I slow down and the governed truck blows my doors with his foot to the floor. My theory is, a governed truck can't make up time when it is safe to so. Many of them make up time when they can, and that is when the speed limit is slower than the truck is governed for.

On this new account I am on I have been rolling east on I 80 through Iowa.. there are 3 areas of constuctio... and it is crazy.. I swear no one even slows down... the flagged 55 speed limit signs are there and visable.. but seriously the average speed everone is going is 65mph...

The other day, I went through one of construction zones and was doing 58... and the cars and trucks just lined up behind me... when it ended.. one driver flipped me off...

I am with werner.. and if you get a ticket for speeding in a construction zone it is an automatic termination... I need my pay heck more than I need to arive at the recievers 5 minutes sooner...

Mine is governed faster than most. And I'm on e-logs. And I don't speed in construction zones. It's dangerous and expensive.

Not all of us tailgate, not all of us speed. But there are way to many trucks that drive unsafe. It's a combination of governed company trucks and those of us that have the large cars. Police presence and enforcement is the only thing that slows these drivers down.

    bergy and peterd Thank this.

As long as you dont show me the proof, its assumption, hearsay, will not stand up in court
