I just wanted to ask, what happens if you have a load and for what ever reason something happens that's not your fault and you have to relay, how does that change the rate on that load? Also how about the miles to the drop lot? Thanks

Isn't there a $500 fee?

The $400 fee seems to be there for when an IC royally screws up and they have to reroute another tractor from God knows where to come pick up the load. Most of the time it seems even with breakdowns and stuff if you can get the load to a place where another driver can easily pick it up, they won't charge you.tynodine Thanks this. -
atruckr Thanks this.

I asked for a relay once. I was 20 hours early and asked for a local driver to make the delivery. It worked out great. I actually got an extra 500 miles that week by not spending a day at the consignee.
