You come on here, argue with me, for no other reason then to just argue (which in my opinion is acting like a complete idiot) then, you want me to hook you up with a job? With a company where I would have to put up with you on a daily basis? Sure, that's gonna happen.

    Milkman719 and PikesPeak Thank this.

Has any of the drivers that were laid off from JBS ever hear of the WARN act? Google it, kind of interesting.

Interesting, Beerslave..... I am now aware of the Warn Act. Thank you. Another thing I learned today is that I should visit the truckersreport main site more often. ( and boy do I wish Pilots' and Ta's magazines would include more of these news than advertisements. I also wish they offered more affordable health foods, and a complete makeover for the DoubleCluthch cafe and truck stop besides a few tstops below the 35th parallel......but I guess that ought to go on a different forum). Any previous JBS'srs now Sand hauling ???

I got a call from JBS recruiter for Midwest regional. Is that a safe bet?

Beerslave I thought you liked when I argued with you? I wasn't planning on changing jobs for awhile but thanks for the tips though. I had breakfast up in Greeley last week at the double clutch café and seen a lot of JBS trucks coming and going looks like they are doing pretty good. Beerslave are you planning on going back to JBS?

Well, maybe I did like it a little; ok, your off the hook, lol. God no, why would I ever go back to JBS?
Terrible miles, bad operations staff, just a bad time all around. I'm still amazed how bad they got in less then a year. It really is my strong belief that they will close or be sold in less then five years.
also, did you read what I wrote about the WARN Act? If gotten some opinions on it; of course I am not an attorney so I can't be certain if what JBS is doing is covered by the WARN Act. I think I will contact an attorney about it, maybe a class action would be prudent. I contacted one while I was working there and he seemed very eager to go after them. That's kind of a funny story actually that I have never shared. Becky pulled me into the office after I refused to pickup a load I could not pickup legally. She told me that I had to follow all of JBS's UNWRITEN policies which included picking up and delivering if you could do it legal or not. I said to her, "how can I follow policies I am not aware of and that are not written down?" and told her if she wanted me to follow whatever policies, I needed them in writing. Of course, she refused and then said, "if you fail to follow these UNWRITEN policies, you will be terminated immediately." We went on and on about it and she told me to violate HOS multiple times as well as other things or be fired. I wasn't about to put up with this so, I called an attorney. What made the attorney laugh and want to go after them was, after I explained I hit the record button on the digital recorder on my iPhone and recorded the entire meeting. That one still makes me laugh, what a narcistest (spelling?) Becky is.

Oh, funny thing, on my way to pickup a JBS/Pilgrims load with 2300 miles on it. No wonder JBS drivers can't get miles, they all go to outside carriers.

Depends, do you like not getting miles, going to Chicago 3 times a week, having a nanny cam watching you and a complete incompetant operations staff? Not to mention, no job security what so ever? Latest to be laid off, the container drivers in SE. That's three divisions or groups laid off in what, a year? Sure, good luck with them.

I'm a cancer servivor, sense of humor is mandatory.
I remember growing up in LA County and there was a dairy down the road. Residents complained about it for years and eventually, they got it closed down. Now, this is one of those "be careful what you wish for" deals. Immediately after closing, and all the cows removed, the entire area became infested with flys. It seemed that every fly within 10 miles lived at the dairy and once the cows were gone, infestation. That lasted for over a year.
