Well hell, why didn't I think of that... I don't guess SFI would have an issue with me installing a system like that. I sometimes forget it's my truck and still fall back to the company driver mindset of "working with what I'm stuck with" LOL.

Yeah you'll love that gauge DFO.

    I have one as well.
I've paid for 2 scale tickets since I've been here.

Great not having to guess anymore.

Read your contract they may not allow that modification since your leasing and not buying the truck. So technically your still stuck with what there tractor your borrowing d from them. It a should have a list of what can and can not b modified on tractor.

what you can do though, is while you are company driver, operate the truck like an owner op, track your fuel costs etc (some numbers you wont have access to), as much as you can. make a habit of certain things. then when the time comes to make that decision , your learning curve is much much shorter.

Most basic modifications are allowed, as long as you leave them intact when you turn the truck back in. But with that being something that's actually integrated into the truck's electrical system, I would have to check on it. I know they won't let us install a Tripac APU or anything like that, so it might not be allowed on a lease truck.

I have a on board scale also. I don't use it much, because I don't carry anything over 34k lbs
