LA yes.. i havent been to san francisco with sec but i know guys who have.. golden gate i doubt it...oakland bay bridge would need to be crossed to get into sf.. my son was an engineer on the construction of the new bay bridge..
i think the bay area is a rarity.. but this is trucking and never say never...

Well I finally picked up one of these new trailers
with the self deploying pair of bat wings attached the rear of the trailer. Dont look very durable.
A very interesting contraption if I ever saw one. One thing I dont like about it is that you have
to close them manually. It should be interesting to
see how long they last with constant use. I understand 3 or more drivers have already damaged them while backing up. -
Mark said one driver already ruined a new trailer by running it over a concrete thing. Said it had 8000 miles on it.

They may save some money on fuel but the savings will cancel itself out if they have to keep
replacing these bat wings constantly. -
I talked to a driver two weeks ago that was driving
one of the new Internationals with the dummy rear axle. He already got stuck and had to get pulled out. All this new technology looks great on paper
but dosent seem to work to well in the real world. -
The dummy axle with the super singles look like a headache in the winter.
