My momma told me that every pot has a lid. In other words, it doesn't matter who you are, there is someone out there for you. Personally, I've always gone for the nice guy. I love my bf, but I have heard that I "can do better." Of course, they aren't the ones getting any love from him, so what do they know. There are many reasons you can be attracted to someone and everyone has their own taste. Inevitably, someone is going to think you are unattractive, but there are always going to be others who think you are good lookin'. It's not everyone's job to think you are hot, so if your goal is to not be ugly that is an impossible standard. And maybe you weren't born an underwear model, you just have to be OK with that. And as for your girlfriend, it is so easy for everyone to tell you to leave her, but when it comes down to it you know there is more to it or you would be gone by now. As long as you are getting something out of the relationship you are going to stay. I trust my man when he is on the road, so far at least. I wouldn't ever cheat on him, and when I fantasize about being romantic with someone he is the only real person I think about. Trust is so important and I'm sorry you don't have it right now. If I didn't trust my man you know what I would do? SPY. Spy like the dickens. I'm not advising you to do that, because it can lead to other problems, but she did give you a reason not to trust her. Then again, if you weren't ready to trust her and let it go you were not ready to take her back. All I can say is I hope you are getting what you want out of this, whatever that is.:smt056

I got married older in life - the wife was 28, and I was 32... we were older and ready to settle down at that age. If I had gotten married in my early 20's, divorce would have been probable, because I just wasn't ready for it. Trust me, you will know without question when you find the right one.

There is someone out there who is your soul mate and the one to spend your life with. You just have to be patient, and it will find you when you least expect it. In the meantime, enjoy life and freedom. Congrats!

Sorry Oil Jockey, but I must add a counterpoint.

Virtually nobody goes into a marriage believing it will fail. Everyone thinks they "know".

The vast majority all think their marriage will make it. Their love is a special love; a love different than the world has ever known. Other marriages may fail, but not theirs.

50% of these people see their marriages end in divorce. At least another 25% stay married, but wish they weren't.

Truly good marriages are a pleasure to see, but don't happen very often.

I wasn't mature enough at the time to have a marriage succeed, and I realize that now. It's amazing how your perspective is a lot clearer when you get older. I was referring to my situation only - I do have several friends who were married early and now divorced. I learned a lot from their misfortunes and vowed not to make the same mistakes.

God has a plan for everyone, and it is plain to see what it was for me now.

No need to think. That is definitely a compliment. And if that is in fact your picture as your avatar, I would have to agree.:)

I'm wondering what part of the CO mountains Flo lives or works in. Not trying to stalk! :) But I used to have a condo up in Summit County. I used to rent it out seasonally through a management company during the winter but I tried to use it every few weeks during the summer. I finally sold it and moved down range because Summit County is not too friendly when it comes to parking a rig for a few days of down time. My condo was in Dillon Valley and it was a trick getting in and out of there even when the weather was ideal.
