The BMI index is nonsense, try it on a bodybuilder it will call most of them morbidly obese

    The media is our friend?
A recent story in The New York Times: Truckers Resist Rules on Sleep, Despite Risks of Drowsy Driving, seems to suggest otherwise.

Dispute the contents of a (slanted) story printed in a trusted publication such as the New York Times?
    Surely you jest.
I'm thinkin' doin' that would be considered makin' their point after the fact.
Fact is facts aren't always obvious and can, in fact, be confusin', ....... or could even render a potentially hot topic story with subsequent follow-up stories, --- inclined to be slanted toward sensationalism, --- to keep those folks seekin' to be informed hooked on the need to purchase tomorrow's edition of The Times to keep abreast of all the dangers created daily by selfish, greedy, uncaring, mean-spirited Big truck truck drivers asleep at the wheel, --- resistin' rules on sleep despite risks of drowsy drivin'.

Thinkin' they're thinkin' for themselves, those readers will, most likely, come to the same conclusion that the NY Times story writer led them to believe is, in fact, a fact, but, that fact is, in fact, not a fact at all. That's a fact, .... and an example of how confusin' facts can be. That's probably why reporters of facts turned into writers of preferred opinion, presented as fact. Much easier that way, and leaves room for creative manipulation and cleverly disguised factual inaccuracies to enhance the shock value of the story.
I fear the truth would have a deflating effect on a story already in progress.
If, in fact, "an individual is just as strong as 10,000 people", that "individual" is the story writer, ---
even if what they write ain't right.
Can they even handle the truth?

I support your use of it, if it genuinely helps make your life better and you can manage a restful nights sleep wearing it then cheer to you. But just because it works for some does not justify ramming it down everyone else's throat and threatening to remove their CDL if they don't comply

In actual fact,if there was a risk of me dying in my sleep then I say " So what!!!" it's better than pining away in a hospital bed in pain watching my loved ones suffer having to see me that way, go to sleep and never wake up here, im ok with it.
