I like white too ....not my fave, but it looks good because for some crazy reason,it seems to me that it shows chrome better.Plus pinstriping or murals just jump out at you if they are on white.I prefer pearl white w/blue essence tho'.:biggrin_25525:

    No kiddin'!

Try ALL Pearl White with Pearl White tinted with blue and pink flames on the hood and fenders.

    WhAT ?
    On a Peterbilt, of course.

Thing is, the light had to be just right to see the flames.
    Pretty cool. :biggrin_255:

Tell ya what, out of all the trucks that I have driven, Volvo is the best. It is quiet going down the road. Rides well going down the road without a lot of vibration. No outside air noise. When parked, its the only Rig that I have been in that you can have refers on both sides of you and you can still sleep without idling your Rig. Full size bunks along with a lot of other amenities.

Now Truth be told, our company uses a better spec'd 780. Longer wheel base and much bigger sleeper. I have heard that the 670 can be cramped due to fact that bunk is right behind the Driving area. However the good out weighs that by far.

You can keep your long nose POS. The only decent one out there is the KW W900L anyhow. The rest are nothing but over grown gas guzzlers that make you come out of pocket for fuel. That for the O/O side of the house.

Quick comment: Does anyone know how to spell or use capitalization out there? I am starting to wonder about the old adage, Dumb ### Truck Driver.

hmm.... well heres one for ya. #### you!

    u like my spellin? :yes2557:

But seriously. why do we care what the next guy likes to drive? buy what you like. This thread really bugs me, mainly because I hate people pushing there opinions. If I wanted that I'd hang out in the political forum

    WhAT?
    Really?

Exactly how many Big trucks have you driven, --- give or take?
Is a Volvo the ONLY Big truck that does that?
Here's a thought. Imagine turning the stereo down and listen to that wind out there for awhile. You can and should be able to learn from whatcha hear the wind doin'. Especially in inclement weather.

Just more information for a Tommy TrueTrucker type to use in any decision making process. The more y'all know 'bout where y'all are headed, the better the chances y'all will get there at the RIGHT time -- rather than ON time, SOMEtimes.

To me -- the silence is deafening.
Big trucks make beautiful noise -- IMO.
By Golly ! ##### Volvo for taking away my music. :biggrin_25525::biggrin_2559:
Good thing I have a Junior Brown CD. :smt020
How many different rigs have you tried? You might be doin' it wrong.
I had a dispatcher who used to run refer trailers and run 'em hard.
When I mentioned sleeping next to a noisy refer unit, he suggested I find TWO, well maintained units, park betwix them, and shut 'er down, weather permitting.

    Yer NutZ!
And maybe he was, too --- but he was right.
Good runnin' Stereo refers work for me.
It mighta helped that my Big trucks were equipped with more noise dampening material in the sleepers. The "refer package". But I found the effect to be soothing. It's the screechie belts and the back-fires I can't handle.
I've only driven one Big truck with a Big Sleeper -- on a Freightliner Classic. Microwave, TV, Ice making fridge, -- I thought that was a nice set up. It was as quiet as I wanted it to be.
SOMEtimes, I don't WANT a 'too quiet' sleeper.

After awhile, ya get sorta 'tuned-in' to different sounds. Some become familiar, good and bad. It's the BAD ones I WANNA hear. Gives me time to put on my (es)cape, -- purple -- (slightly) faded.
    Still looks great though.

I like the sound of that.
Sounds nice. But what does it look like on the OUTside?
    How far? :biggrin_25525:

Reason I ask is, all that extra space in that Classic I drove -- made me worry.
    HeY!
I could stand straight up while behind the steering wheel -- reach my arms UP all the way, and still not touch the ceiling.

Now, Heaven forbid it happens and you're on the roof -- and seat-belted in. Gotta cutcher way out,
--- and how far are you gonna fall --- HEAD first?
    Vaulted Ceilings?
    I think they'd be noisy.

Can you hear *snap crackle pop*?
Personally, I much prefer the lower ceiling, and ESPECIALLY liked the T-600 KW with the moon-roof that is designed to kick out for an escape hatch if y'all happen to find yourself on your side -- either one.

Or, if a driver wears out the hinges on his left side door -- he could always crawl out the top and down the side. At least 'till that door got fixed proper.
    Ya reckon.

    Please define "POS".
    "Decent" what? "POS"?
I really need to know what a "POS" is before I comment on that.
Are you still talkin' "POS" here?
Or gas guzzlin' diesel Big trucks?:dontknow:
    North or South side?

    Shux Howdy, YogiB.
You're just now gittin' 'round to figurin' that out?

I am afflicted with just such a situation as you've described above -- Yes, it is true, I am a Dumb ###
Can't spell, couldn't pick a verb from a noun if I even knew what came before "e" except after "c".
    Total dunce, I yam.
    Or so I write, right?

But a nerd friend-0-Mine developed this super computer program that takes care of all that stuff FOR me, ..... now.
All I have to do is type WHATever, ..... doesn't matter.
The PROGRAM, figures it all out by re-arranging things in the proper order, tense, and sense, and then it tells ya what you're thinkin' -- without ever havin' really thunk it.
And, as an added bonus -- SOMEtimes I can even pass for smart.
    Go figure.
    How cool is that?!
    Amazing.

    I'm running that program now.
The only hardware necessary is an open mind.
So simple even a caveman could run it.
    Or is it ruin it?
    ShuX!
    I forget. :biggrin_25523:

I think, basically, for me at least, ---- well, I'm nosey.
    Seriously!
How 'bout I buy us a cold beer?
The beer oughta help relieve the bugs.
    YuP!
    And with no real agenda.

    Here's a thought.
Starting tomorrow there will only be Volvos to drive. NO other brand. They'll ALL look the same to one degree or another. Just different colors.

    C.R. England would be red.
And you'll see their drivers arguing over which lease/operator has the prettiest Big truck.
    But they'd all be Volvos.

    Easy to identify that way.
    No matter what went wrong
it would be a Volvo 100% of the time.
    Bummers!
Of course --- that works the OTHER way too. Wouldn't be fair not to.

Since this thread started, it's caused me to check out the Volvo photo images. I'm not a real big fan of the styling, but I well understand the technological reasons for it. So I'm kinda split. Good Tasting or Less Filling?

I have to admit something though.
The more I see them, the better they look. I'm close to saying I "like" what I see, but not quite yet. I sure wouldn't refuse to drive a nice one for the right gig though.
    But not convinced I'd consider buying a Volvo.:biggrin_25512: :biggrin_25519:

I wish man! I think im gonna keep this KW, i just put that front diff in it, plus the price of hoods has dropped alot and i would get raped on a trade in, think ill pay it off and keep trucking this KW. Then in a year when its all paid for ill get a 379 and really play with it.

Back over into that bugs butt. Really.. backing isn't that hard. No matter the weight. The longer the better for me. Cussing has always been on the radio and its not gonna change, too many Richards on the road now. And its not that I won't stop to help a driver, because I have and will... just hard to when you never know if you're gonna get shot or knifed and robbed by the high speed chicken feed fool. Tell me I'm wrong.

I enjoy my hoods. I have a hard time driving a truck that has a slant hood. Thats just me. I can't stand a Volvo really. But thats just me. I enjoy Petes' and KW's with big cats. But again.. thats just me.
