Hey guys. I'm out training with my trainer in a Kenworth T660 and we have to pull over very frequently to clean off windshield. Is there any tricks to reduce amount of bugs on windshield? Do those bug shields work good? I know I have one on my pickup and it seems to help, sure does not stop all the bugs but most of them I would say.

good wipers and good window washer fluid work for me. Some say rainx works to make them wipe off easier. I never pull over to wash um off, although i do clean when i get fuel.
TwinStickPeterbilt Thanks this. -
I use rainx bug removing fluid I also have good wipers.

WD-40. A light coat on the windshield works great. Also works on the front bumbler, grill and anything else bugs splat against

Everytime you fuel up clean them good with the squeegee provided at the ts. Make sure your windshield wipers are in good condition and there is fluid and it sprays properly when applied.

I think he is talking about keeping them off to begin with.

During love bug season, you just have to deal! Don't forget to clear your grill or you'll overheat...

lol... Wait, is that possible? I am not exactly a fan of having to clean the windshield all of the time. With the seasoned truckers i see still getting down with the squeegee i am going to go ahead and answer my own question with a 'no'. -
Rain X or Wax on the windshield helps .

I dont now why they make truck windshields angled like big fly swatters. If they added more of an incline bugs will hit the windshield and get pushed to the side like they do in my car.
