Um, now your sounding like that #### recruiter at Pacific who told me with my 20 yr old felony I can't get HAZMAT or a TWIC card, when advised him to look at my packet again, specifically page 6 and 7, he replied "well ####" and hung up on me. There are only certain things that disqualify you, and actually, most of the disqualifiers, will also cancel you out for a CDL anyhow.

I certainly wouldn't pay $170k for a Freightliner... I dunno what a reefer cost is but I'd hazard a guess at 35-40. So around 160 to 170 for a plastic Mexican built "truck"?? And then the lease purchase they push, you probably are paying 200k for the truck which will be worth 20k when the fleece is done...

OK boys and girls... get your hackles down. Prime doesn't hire serious felons... and any carrier who values their business is very careful about anyone with a record. It has to be a long time in their past, they don't hire sex offenders, violent criminals, and anyone with a crime involving a weapon. That being said, what's wrong with giving someone with a mistake a second chance, especially if they've shown through their subsequent life it was a one-time incident?

Think about this for a minute... in many states, it's illegal to discriminate in employment for not only race, religion, etc, but also for past, non-repetitive criminal history. My point in the earlier post with the jerk was his thought that anyone who gives a person a second chance has something wrong with them.

well you will have even less when you start driving.

seriously, someone on here might could vouch for you if you truly need a reference. wtf have you done to need two? bizarre requests by prime and one that would make me shop elsewhere. prime is not all that man. it is a bottom feeder outfit although i can only speculate. i am not opinionated so i can not give you my opinion.
