Thanks pattyj. I think I will get it. This bad publicity here has worked wonders. It has been a slow climb but so far they have coughed up each dollar - with delays and all kinds of interesting attempts to nickel and dime but in the end the money has appeared.
    Bogus trailer charges.
    Unagreed 'missing' logbook fees.
However where I stand now is square except for :-
    1. $1,500 escrow
    and
    2. $1,100 prorate on the reg.

They are waiting the full 45 days allowed by law to settle. They will hang it out until the last minute as per Horse Whisperer's post.
They will no doubt try to dick me on the prorate, despite promises ect.
I am afraid their promises don't mean much. Only force means anything. In my case the internet. If that money isn't in my bank account on the 15th of September I will first report that fact on this thread then start a new thread on the cost of doing business with Status Transport revealing all sorts of things.
That will then be repeated on all the trucking forums and responses will be made to the cute YouTube videos.
I will reveal more about the threat that was made to me and what OOIDA had to say about them. Also what other drivers have gone through.
I was starting to soften but this silly 45 day wait has irritated me. It would have been so much more intelligent to just settle with me immediately and not play the faceless corporation with it's 'policy'.

Meanwhile I am happy where I am and it is refreshing not to lease to somebody who is trying to 'work' it as we all know the trucking industry will at every opportunity.
A wee sample. Where I am now I have a fuel card which there is NO deposit for and provides me with deep discounts. At Status you have to pay a $1,500 deposit and all you get is a nickel off the price of fuel. I can only guess where the discount money goes. :biggrin_255:

    Conclusion

Well the full prorate of $1,100 and the $1,500 escrow was put in my bank account 4 days early. We are done! I have every cent that they owed me.

I wish it had not been necessary to write this thread about Status Transport, I wish that there had never been the slightest reason to speak about anything I have written about here in the first place. I wish that I had not had to call the compliance department of OOIDA multiple times. The entire thing has been uncalled for. However I didn't try to take any money from them. All I wanted was all of MY money paid to me on time and in full. No mysterious deductions no unagreed 'fines' etc. So here I am forced to use the court of public opinion to get what is mine.
A sad situation as I have hurt them here and I don't want to hurt anybody. They are essentially nice people, ####y but nice.

Status really does have a good business model. I have looked around and have not been able to find anybody that offers the same. For a straight 20% off the top they provide authority, decent new trailers and load procurement without a stupid Qualcom.
Others claim to offer the same but end up (as per EM Way in Delaware) wanting more money for factoring, a trailer rental, cargo insurance etc etc in ADDITION to the 20% - by the time they get done you might as well go to Schneider or Landstar and cough up the 35%. So Status actually have a really good deal and although happier and trouble free where I am I have taken about a 25% pay drop. Mine is a good stop gap situation though, very, very straight.
Status really have a chance of becoming quite big and making a lot of money because of this - from what I can see - unique business model. They just don't have a serious business rival.

However as I have said before the drivers are what the business is built on. No drivers no business. You can have the slickest website and telephone answering system in the world but if you don't have drivers you don't have a business.
Being scrupulously honest with drivers is key. They are not 'assets' or mules but real people that are quite capable of counting, dividing and multiplying they know when they are getting shorted. Lots of us out here college / university educated with serious other past careers, truckers are not all dummies. You cannot slip things by, they WILL notice.
I strongly suggest that anybody reading this for the first time reads post 2.

And that is it. I will not mess with this thread again unless somebody writes here, then I will respond.

They have no loads and when another company called to verify employment, Status called me and wanted to know where the trailer was , My pay of about 6000.00 didn.t show in my bank account . So BOL are about 3 to 4 weeks late anyway. Stay clear of these people they are not a good company.

I am sorry for your trouble. I hope the $6,000 turns up. I strongly suggest you continue to document what happens to you through this thread. They did me for $764 on a bogus maintenance fee back in April of 2013. I ate it knowing it was illegal and not in the contract. Everything else I got out of them - eventually!

The stuff about no loads was a constant problem. They are incapable of forward planning and will happily send you into the middle of nowhere (Swift Current, Saskatchewan) without a second thought about getting you back out again. It is all about NOW not what is next.

Most companies big and small think of the drivers as cattle. This company is no exception.
At the end of the day though Status fulfilled their use for me, merely a stepping stone.

A shame they aggravated me to the point where I started this thread. Now this info is out there forever for anybody who cares to research before signing a lease. This section of the forum helped me a couple of times.
    Good luck bid d.

Wow I wish I would've seen these post before I started with them I m gone now went there for a lil over 2 months these are CROOKS. They will steal your money at one point or another get your own authority or message me and I'll show you a better way without having 20% of your money split .When I gave them a notice to leave they STOLE. 950 dollars out of my account. Don't be fooled they can do a ACH transfer of funds out of your account because they already have all the account information when there only supposed to deposit your funds they can withdrawal as well. That 1500 dollar escrow you won't get that back either I was only there two months and they said tire wear and brake wear..there is no way that even came close to 1500 dollars but you signed the lease that will be a hard fight to win as for the money they just stole out of my account I'm working with my bank to recover that.. because I guess they think no one will challenge it because truck drivers are always driving or dumb or don't no better. Well speak out because I'm not or your not the only people this has happened to..report them to the Better Business Bureau and tell everyone that you see on the road what they do..... let them no they can do better make more money and have more control over there destiny. DON'T WORK FOR STRATUS OR STAKUS OR LS FREIGHT THERE IN OR LANDO, WINTER GARDEN FOREST PARK ATLANTA AND OTHER LOCATIONS.

DON'T WORK FOR STATUS OR STRATUS OR STAKUS WHATEVER THEY CALL THEM SELF TELL EVERY ONE THAT WORK FOR THEM RIGHT NOW TO LEAVE.... get your settlement first then change your bank information at the bank because they Will STEAL YOUR MONEY. ....

    No stratus steals money

    Yes they do!!
This is why I started this thread. They are organized thieves.
I am sorry you learned the hard way.
Hopefully the more drivers Google their name and arrive here the fewer will be stolen from.
They do put up a good front though don't they?
They'll be changing names before you know it.

Yes they dis put up a good front! I see now why they hide behind those doors their rats. The office staff is like trained robots with always a stiff answer to a question Edwin will lie to you over the phone then screen his calls so you can't speak with him after. Like I said I caught on quick and I'm glad they showed there true colors because I had 3 friends about to join with them. So I stopped that!

Edwin is particularly a liar. I have no idea why. He will lie about pickup times he will twist mile numbers. You just scratch your head and wonder why he would do this again and again. It is practically psychotic.
I dumped Kosta and ended up with Edwin. Kosta was better but he is also crazy. He will try and get you to pay for everything. His mistakes, modifications to trailers the bill will end up at your door.
I was looked straight in the eye and told that you could make $8,000 a week and that they have their own customers. All nonsense. They have zero customers of their own and your chance of grossing $8,000 in one week is zero.
    Why lie?
I have no idea, it seems to be how they roll. I was told by a representative of a certain large organization that represents drivers that if you hear a Russian accent RUN. This was based on the number of complaints and problems that end up on his desk.
I was in Canada and approached by another eastern European guy looking for me to run for his company out of Chicago. I politely declined.

I seriously don't understand why people lie like this. There is a temptation to say it is all Russian people but that would not be true. I worked in the world of engineering with several Ukrainians, Russians, Poles and Belarussians they weren't liars. Just ordinary working folks. I have been to Russia, Latvia and Ukraine and I have to tell you that my experiences there was indeed full of liars. I think it is some kind of ethnic characteristic. My experience has therefore been mixed.

This lot though are best swerved. Oh and BTW they are reading this. Guaranteed. Good to see you are still keeping up your old tricks Linas.
I have no connection with Status now so can speak and will every time this thread is added to.
Be careful who you sign a contract with guys.
