Gibson energy in tx?

Rock doctor you can definately make a solid living out here leasing a truck/trailer for Gibsons, Tiga, or Bridger. I have friends at all of these companies and they clear after all expenses $10,000 to $15,000. You have to save for your own taxes because you are a 1099 employee or contractor. The more your truck runs the more you make.

Also should point out you don't have to lease a truck from Gibsons. Get yourself a nice used Pete for $45K then sign on with them. You will still be leasing a trailer but from what I am told the trailer can cost you big time to properly maintain. Spoke to one driver who claims to clear $16K a month after expenses.

 

My boss says the same thing. Between breakdowns, pumps, and down time it's a killer.

 

For those of you not opposed to moving. The Lady at Gibson said they really need drivers in San Angelo.

 

It's out of the area, but I see Gibson is looking for O/O's in Gillette, Wy.

 

Anyone know anything about Gibson in Colorado? I was offered a job with them but was curious how they were.

Was wondering if you are still at Gibsons? If you are - I have one question about their lease.
Is that a 'walk away lease'? I mean that if for some reason - say you get sick, get a better job offer somewhere else, or say the Crude Oil market crashes and suddenly there is no work hauling Crude - can you just bring the truck back in and if it is not damaged just walk away from the lease?

If you lease a car for 36 months you have to make all the 36 payments.

Say I lease with Gibson, pay them (IDK what the exact amount is) $4000 a month for equipment and after 8 months I break a leg and cant work for 4 months. Or I get a job offer paying $700 000 a year somewhere else. Or just plain get so tired of driving that I want to take a break from it for 2 years and go tour Europe - I have already paid 8x $4000 = $32000 for the truck. Can I just bring the truck back, leave them the $32000 and if the truck is in good shape not be liable for any more payments?

It is a walk away lease with a 30 day notice. You are liable for anything that is broken and worn out tires. Look them up online and call a recruiter. They will give you better information as some thing's have changed since I came aboard.
