Crew cab, quad cab, tomato potato

Did you put in one of those square aux tanks or a old semi tank? I just saw a couple guys with the semi tanks and never thought of doing that. What's the weight difference after putting in the tank and filling it up?

Square tank, haven't checked the weight yet to be honest. Based off of others weights, I think it will be around 10,200 ish. I will weigh it next time I fill 'er up.

I guess Ford calls it a quad cab and Dodge calls it a Crew Cab. So in Dodge speak, I have a crew cab. What ever the thing is, it is not a mega cab and has an 8ft bed.

You can get one, but only with a 6ft bed.

There is or was a company in Colorado at one time that stretched megacab chasis and put a longbed on. $10k upgrade.

It's really pretty easy to stretch a mega cab and put a long bed on it but wouldn't you just rather put a sleeper on it instead of the bed?

The added cost, weight, length is not worth it.

Pretty happy with the setup at this point. There was a fellow here that had an actual sleeper when I was in oriention. I will stick with my setup for now, really didn't like what he had.

Airride install complete. $275 off of amazon, $20 for next day delivery, and about 2.5 hrs of work to install it myself.

    RVTransporter Thanks this.
