Ran into Hunt's Point today and recorded the drive from the GW bridge. I'm new to Youtube posting but did a quick and dirty video production and here it is ..

    Very nice post.

    Tom Petty Radio ......... really ? ........ I guess I wouldn't get it. I'm usually tuned to 880 AM - traffic and weather on the 8's ...............

They finished her the bridge work in Rhode Island, no more truck weight/axle restriction. As Ol'Hand described the other (shorter, faster, less likely for congestion) route to take I'll let it ride.

Do appreciate you sharing that! Now I know how to get in there if I need to.

As far as the comment I made in the other thread about staying out from underneath elevated subway structures, there are of course exceptions that are safe for 13'6" and that is a well worn path that everybody knows is okay to use, but generally speaking those are the types of things you want to stay out from underneath of if you ever find yourself out in random-corner-of-NYC-land trying to get somewhere.

So I guess you'd use exit 51 off the Bruckner (if you were coming south on 95 instead of north.) There is no direct interchange to 895 south off southbound 95

Yeah that's Exit 51 then on the westbound side of Bruckner Expy. My hunch is that it's signed as Bruckner Blvd. (for when you round the bend) but I've never been that way, yet.

    Speedloader and 'olhand Thank this.

Well, this thread got pretty quite again ........... anybody have any truck related news for NYC to pass along ?? Long term construction ? New over pass clearance's ? New NYPD DOT hot spots ? Good places to park ? Good places to eat w/ parking ? Sound off.

I'd mouth off, but I'm running up north these days, so I'm outta da loop.
