I am searching for the nearest PA center for drivers license renewal to your location- I sent you a PM since since i don't think i can post a phone number in here ?.
They (PA) are not making it easy.
FYI you may need to have a camera card -which i guess is what you would have received by mail had you renewed.
I am also a pa resident.
I am also checking for the nearest to you in PA AAA center which usually does these things.
I may be wrong, but i though you could get renewed and then take 2 weeks to get the new picture.....the AAA places told me they only do non commercial....again i could be wrong. -

What I personally would do is to deadhead where needed because when not under dispatch your company has no say or should have no say over your life.
Now to mitigate the risk to the max you have to ask your company for someone to give you a ride back and forth or you can catch a cab. I would not think twice, don't be cheap, you lose revenue when you are sitting anyways. By mail? Forget it, what are you thinking they will send your Cdl to mile marker 67 or a truck stop? -

OK Richter here is a copy and paste directly from the Penn DOT page (commercial license )-
I hate to say this but i hope you already sent the fee in, and your camera card is sitting at home.
Which brings me to this point - if i am right -your best bet is to get home and get that camera card that i hope you already sent for -renew -and rent a car to the truck.
I would also think since you are on this site with all these members and on a main route or routes - someone has to be trucking down through new york heading south somewhere near or through Philly.
Here is the paste from Penndot

Your Pennsylvania CDL is valid for four years expiring on the day after your birth date. PennDOT automatically sends an Invitation to Renew (DL-58A) to you three months prior to expiration. Individuals age 65 or older have the option of renewing their CDL every two years.
Note: CDL drivers currently do not have the option to renew directly from the website.
Step 1: Receive an Invitation to Renew (DL-58A) or obtain Form DL-143CD
Step 2: Return completed application with a check or money order made payable to PennDOT in the amount indicated on the form
Step 3: A camera card will be mailed, and you will receive it within 7 to 10 working days after the form is processed.
Step 4:Once you receive your camera card, you will need to take it, along with your Social Security card and appropriate identification to any Photo Center to have your photo taken and receive your new CDL.

Don't feel like the lone ranger, happened to me last July. Texas DOT handed my license back and said these expired July 21 sir. It is July Blah Blah or what ever it was. Same deal had me captured till i got it worked out. My Son had to come rescue me lol.

One more thing that i can think of- If you are in that "New Baltimore" service plaza you are 15-15.5 miles from Albany NY DMV ?.
I don't know if they can do anything for you but they are close enough -i think there is a phone number in there some where -good luck
