I am surprised with this coming from someone who drove for Swift. As home terminals depend on your DM location not what you are close to. (although hiring does depend on location) We live close to the Phx yard but home terminal has always been somewhere else and he gets plenty of Home time in Phx, with a DM and home terminal in ID and MI. You can take home time anywhere you want with Swift, my husband visits friends and family all over the USA.
But as a company driver you leave your truck at a terminal for more then 2 days unpack it all and expect to get a new truck, as they want their equipment moving. It means your next truck could be brand new or you get that one that someone used as a garbage can. Some dispatchers and DM's are great others are keyboard pounding monkeys who have no clue how a 70 works or if you can get there in 14 hours without a warp drive.
As there are many trolls who have nothing better then to make you feel bad whatever your choice. I say go to the Swift and Prime sections here, read as much as you can not only new driver questions but the daily check ins of experienced drivers and you will see how pay, loads etc can work and can not work.
Prime vs Swift

there are alot of experienced drivers with swift who been here long time. even a few 3 million milers. pretty sure prime has their share to. its all in your attitude and what you want to do.

Not sure why you have narrowed it down to those 2.......but at any rate....whichever pool you pick you are "diving headfirst" into a pool with no water in it!! There are smaller companies........even in FL that would be a much better choice.

Check and see what else is in your area around Florida.
