I got a handmade wallet up in Anchorage meant for front pockets and I've never had that problem. My grandpa was in the Navy, and got in the habit of keeping his in his front pocket so he could grab it and show ID while seated driving through checkpoints. Of course, that also put him in the habit of driving with his left foot over the brake, but thankfully, I didn't pick up that habit, but it makes sense to not sit on a brick of a wallet all day nonetheless.

I lost my wallet once. Was driving team at the time and ended my shift at the Pilot in Florence SC. Was dog tired and went to use the facilities. Must fell out of my pocket while I was conducting business. Went to bed and woke up at later when we got to the Wilco in Disputanta Va. Couldn't find my wallet anywhere...tore the truck apart. Finally realized I may have dropped it at the Pilot. Made a call and thankfully they found it and had it locked up in the manager's office. Since our appt wasn't until the next morning my co driver was able to get a full 10 and we got a load back headed through Florence to grab my wallet.

Now I don't move the truck without physically putting my wallet on the dash where I can see it.

    Did his chain break?

I'll never carry a wallet that ain't chained to me.

Got pocket picked on Bourbon St. one Mardi Gras. Crowd was pushing hard from behind so I was just worried about falling down in the slimey street. Next thing I felt my wallet dangling and hitting my leg. Thief only got my cash and a credit card from the open compartment. My D/L and other cards were in a zippered compartment they missed. Point is the chain saved my wallet and D/L.

Within a month, I left my wallet sitting on the counter at the AC&T Truckstop in Hagerstown, Md. Both times I was lucky enough that I only got a few steps away before the girl behind the counter stopped me.

Since then I always use a wallet on a chain and it never gets more than a foot away from me. It's saved me more than once.

Well, I carry 2 wallets, and one wallet is just for loyalty cards and a little bit of cash. Second wallet has everything else in it. I keep both in front pockets one for each pocket. (Gets kinda hard just sitting on one wallet let alone 2) anyways......

if I ever have to pull anything out of one wallet or the other, I pull the wallet out, use whatever card, and won't put the wallet back into pocket til card is returned. Haven't lost my id, wallets, or anything else. By doing it this way been working for 13 years.

btw. If someone does rob me I just pull out the loyalty card wallet and give it to them and leave, most won't even know the difference and as long as they see a little green, won't even take a second look.

had an officer question me about having 2 wallets told him the other one wAs incase I needed to use that dl. Instead lmao....he got a kick out of it.

I'm working on that too. My wallet eats the strips off the cards when dirt gets in.

I thought those chains that attach your wallet to your belt loop were tacky until I did something similar. proud owner now hahaha.

Wallet chains? Why stop with the wallet? How about another chain for your keys, and a third for your coffee cup. Oh, and a fourth for the pocket knife.

4 chains out to do it. Or maybe you could just use one chain with a bunch of caribiner clips. Sort of like a giant charm bracelet for men. You could get each clip in a different color, or maybe get a bunch the same color and coordinate with the color of shirt you are wearing.

A virtual wallet is a safer alternative to carrying an actual wallet and it'll also reduce the amount of stuff you have to carry. I use Google Wallet to store digital bar coded copies of all my credit, loyalty and insurance cards and the on-screen bar codes are scannable at the store registers. It's much faster than carrying cash or cards and you won't hold up the next guy in line.
