Other post article said witness saw him texting IIRC. Read about so many accidents lately and most of the drivers seem to have funny names. Will FMCSA do anything about drivers with funny names? Don't hold your breath.

Triangles show you made an effort and your disabled, 4 ways show you're kinda lazy.
Sometimes it's just not safe for me to get out of my truck to set triangles.Texting, sexting, eating, make -uping, masturbating etc car drivers and unfortunately truck drivers will kill ya walking with triangles in matter of seconds. -
The other TTR article has pics on it of the markings from where the triangles were supposed to be, they were out the distance they needed to be it looked like, and it did not look like one skid mark was on the pavement from the car.
The trailer was knocked forward, the axle broke loose on the trailer; I would imagine the car could have caused the trailer to jump a little out of position and perhaps making it look like it was on the while line.
Also this article said the truck driver was waiting for breakdown, but did not say for how long. I sure hope it was that long.
I would imagine if the car driver was on his cellphone texting at the time he hit the truck, the police would have the phone and have checked the time stamp on it.
Too early to know the whole details though. -
If it is proven that Honda was in fact texting, facebooking, or tweeting, maybe the driver should sue the estate for the mental trauma that was unfairly dropped on his doorstep.
Any accident where an electronic device is in play - responsible party should be charged with manslaughter and serve a mandatory jail sentences - imho.+
EDIT
So I just saw that they confirmed Honda was distracted by his electronics. That would make mr. Semi the victim, right?Last edited: Aug 12, 2014
