So. This morning I was asked if I could pull a bumper pull trailer to Port Arthur, TX.
I called home to find out if I could get fuel.
Then I went where the trailer was. Just as with a Gooseneck I pulled once upon a time the hook up was for a Ford Truck. And somehow some way when I use an adapter to plug it in the left rear brake light stays on and I have no trailer brakes.
A fellow tried like heck to rewire my adapter. But failed.
So after an hour or so I got pulled off it.
Ran up near SDV and called and told him that and he told me to go to FMC Jester for a 130# pallet going to SDV.
At SDV he sent get 2 pieces for British Air, 3 pieces for Panalpina and one piece for Emirates. Got the British and the Emirates that trip.
He called and asked if I was pulling the trailer. I said I was trying to break in the transmission. He said 1500# so I grudgingly said ok.
So I went and got the Trailer. And hit SDV at 2:30. Did not get out of there loaded including one box he told me about when I called to byatch about how long it was taking to get loaded at a little after 4:05.
Went to Panalpina first and got out of there in near record time.
Then to DHL Global for the single box where I also got out quick.
Then to China Air to lose the rest of the stuff.
Went to drop the trailer and headed home. Stopped for milk in town and hit here at 6:45.

Hey chopper... were you coming on I-40 xt 236 in TN around 7:20 am today (Wednesday)? I saw an Averitt truck with Dollar General trailer who came right in front of me and we both took TN-840 west all the way to I-24... and I went west and he went east... Didn't see the driver's face... and kept wondering if that might be you... Well... I know Averitt has a terminal right there and I see lots of their trucks in that area...

 

Was going to park at a rest area on I-70 OH but decided to stop at this FJ on I-71 OH for my mandatory 30 min break and a bag of ice... and after some calculations, decided to take my 10 here... So... I was cooking, had my windows open... a guy knocks on my door and asks me if my CB was on and if I had heard about the Swift driver... WTF??
And he said, "C'mon, you gotta see this..." He looked excited... But I told him, "No... I am busy here..." Then, I saw him walking around and arguing with another man...
Some BS that goes on at truck stops... I am not interested, neither do I have time to watch it...

Having a bowl of pasta with some legumes.... should be in bed about 30 mins ago... Will pick up a preloaded trailer tomorrow and head to co. terminal in OK for truck PM...

BTW, evening rush hr on I-71 OH TOTALLY SUCKS !! Almost as much as that Washington beltway...

 

Sorry Rocks but no way no how is it anywhere near as bad as the beltway ran that today at like 1 and dang still a flipping mess lol. But I will give you last few weeks 70w 71s split had been a pain do to the construction.

wasn't me, I was Nashville all day today, the Nashville terminal is at i24 & brilley pkwy

 

warehouse workers got the snake out today, it was a 3 1/2--4 ft blacksnake today

got my 3 stops done then got my next trailer and I am in Buchanan, Tn now

 

not as bad as he scared me

Rocks! When somebody says you gotta come see what Swift did it COULD be the funniest thing you'll ever see! I was sitting in a PAM truck at some truck stop. I heard the sound of a crash.
A Swifty was doing Mario Andretti and cleaned the nose right off of a Kenworth T600.

Of course no one had to tell me what happened.
