Painting a oxidized truck

For the decent result just scuff it with scoth brite and paint with self etching primer from auto parts store (green).

You can use RustOleum paint from Walmart and hardener from auto parts store. The rollers from Homedepo will work good instead spray gun. I'll recommend you to start from the roof. Scuff it,wash it prime and paint. So you can see what did you wrong and most visible parts of the cab will be painted better.

 

The trucks I have seen that are just flat paint look pretty good. The drivers said it was the easiest paint job they did.

 

I used a cleaner the paint guy sold me, wiped it down just before using the tack rag. I may be a sucker I don't know

 

I don't think it will. I'm not sure but I don't think you can mess up a flat paint job without working at it.
