Sharing my experience at Averitt (July 2014)

Haven't posted in a week or so and this will probably be my last update since things are stable now. I am still loving this company. My fleet manager is awesome and has a good personality. The miles are great. They are not maxxed out but I feel like I stay pretty busy. Never have to wait for my next assignment since the preplans are normally in place.

If I had to grasp at a straw to find a complaint it would be that there is more night driving than what im used to. Its not much, and you aren't driving till 2AM or anything, but I am used to starting at 4AM and ending around 6PM. Now sometimes its like 10 to Midnight or so. Nothing major but an adjustment for sure.

I know someone saying "oh they got miles" only is someone's word. So I have attached a picture of this week's pay. Doesn't have any personal info on it other than my address. This is just the bottom line, above it shows all the trips I did for that week.

I would encourage anyone to give averitt a shot. I have been steady since going solo and I dont really feel like anything is going to change. I may have a slow week as we all do, but I think I got a good grasp on how this company operates and what I can expect from them. I feel like this is the company I will be with for a very long time.

This is the 3rd company I have worked for in my career (Covenant, Maverick, Averitt) and I am blown away by how great Averitt is. Covenant was a nightmare. Maverick was good and I thought it couldn't get any better.....till I came here.
