Still here too also looking but for a local gig. Did 5 days of local runs out of Lathrop before my hometime and I loved being home every night.

I remember 1 month was a short run with May, now I do 10 to 14. I was in a rental the other day, 67mph, felt like I was Chuck Yeager.

Safety does not get after you. I used to get phone calls and texts to the qualcom, slow that truck down. Even at 55mph, they knew I was doing 61.

I got a snotty phone call from Sunny in Compliance awhile ago.

She was neither helpful or effective. I am a pretty wussy rule follower in general, but apparently I was "caught" going 63 on 210. If I make a mistake less than one percent of the time, they oughta chill the flock out about it. Let's say that her efforts do not work in the
manner in which they are intended.

Going faster in a truck is not all that great. I used to think the same way, but it is actually really nice to just set cruise at 62 and let others pass me. Hang in the right lane and have an easy day. No need to fight others governed at 65 and take 4 miles to pass. The nice thing about setting cruise at lower than governed speed, you can actually get some speed up and pass someone without taking forever.

First time I could do 65, felt great, but you soon learn there are a lot of companies that govern at 65 too.

Now that I pay for my own fuel I'm VERY conscientious about speeding. Because I only run on the I-5 corridor, I'm very content with setting the cruise on 55 and let it roll.
