I work for a company that is refusing to fix a air brake issue< my air bags are totally depleting when my truck is being loaded, and when I get to work in the morning the air is totally out of the primary 1 tank and tank 2 is sitting at 120 but if I release the emergency brake right away my emergency tank air pressure drops all the way down to match tank 1 in the red..Im also dealing with the brake pressure dropping down to 90 psi when hauling a load when the truck is heavy..the company I work for is the most tyrannical place that i have ever worked for..I definitely need help dealing with the whole situation..

Take your truck to the nearest weigh station or port of entry and let whoever is on duty inspect the truck. If you self report the problem (rather than wait for them to catch you) and let them know your employer knows about the problem, refuses to fix it and is requiring you to drive an unsafe vehicle they should put the truck OOS without any liability on your part. Your employer will then be forced to fix the problem before the truck leaves again. And pay a hefty fine in the process. Your employer may not like it and may fire you but no company should EVER force a driver to knowingly operate an unsafe vehicle.

Have you write this up in pretrip/ post trip inspection report and submit to company (person in charge for safety)?
If so you have legal rights not to operate this POS equipment and refuse to drive this truck.
If you don't. Do not go to DOT scale. Driver is solely responsible for equipment to comply with DOT regulatioons and rules before it leaves the yard. If you have drove this truck down to the DOT scale you intentionally operate equipment OOS.
So write everything in your post/pre trip inspection report and submit. Ask them to underwrite the copy. There could be two responses. 1. Defect fixed and mechanic signature or
    2. Defect is not affect the safety and mechanic signature. If second - go to DOT scale.
Do not sacrifice your reputation, name or freedom (in worst scenario) to the s...t eaters.

    starr2000 Thanks this.
