OK all here is my situation I have an 11.1 400 hp program that was bumped and made on the dyno years ago when i did it 563 at the wheels... That being said I swapped the stock turbo out with the BW 171702 and im thinking that this turbo is to big for the 11.1 because the exaust temp is to high I think. Say 1200 rpm cruising not pulling and not real heavy running 950 degrees.....Now I drop a gear come up to say 1600 rpms same condition same speed temp drops say 750 degrees.... So im thinking that turbo may be to big for the amount of air the 11.1 is moving .... Please what do you guys think... Is all good the way its is with the temps or is that BW turbo to big for the 11.1.... Thanks in advance

563 at the wheels is quite impressive for a 11.1L. as far as egt's at 1200. 1200 is to low of a rpm for a 11.1L or even a 12.7 for that matter they really seem to like 1400-1800, i don't think i would cruse it at less than 1300

If your putting enough fuel into it to make 563 hp my guess is a smaller turbo will run hotter. I'd just run it higher rpm like ex and hh suggested to keep the airflow up to better match the fueling

I would bet the 171701 would be best.

they don,t make a bolt on turbo to suit 11 litre , you,ll have to make your own as most other people do , 92 series with a larger cold wheel works wonders for 400 plus hp
