is it any wonder ,the trucking industry is going the dogs especially with so called drivers who whine about companies looking for a response from the own TEAM MATES but do not provide the DETAILS to support their WHINING

Croatian trucking company in the Chicago 'burbs? That's enough reason right there to steer clear.
DriverToBroker, joseph1135 and Dinomite Thank this. -
Are there companies out there that take advantage of drivers? Yes there are. But a lot of times the driver's claim of being cheated, lied to, and generally messed around is simply a lack of communication between the driver and the company. A lot of times the driver doesn't understand what's happening and, rather than take the time to find out the facts, they throw a temper tantrum and walk off mad.
Are some of the claims of mistreatment here valid? Very probably. But the driver isn't always automatically right, either.
I've been on both sides of the desk and I've seen and heard both sides of just about every personnel problem there is. A lot of times a simple, courteous, open minded conversation will solve the problems.
Trucking is a rough racket...you guys all know that. It's hard on everyone involved. All I'm saying is listen to the complaints with an open mind and don't automatically assume one side or the other is right until you know all the facts.born&raisedintheusa and hal380 Thank this. -
I agree ...REO
of course there are 2 sides of every story ,I've seen some really sorry butt drivers ,we have some where i work also ,in fact my father was disappointed in me when i told him i was going to truck driving school ....said i was taking on a lazy mans job ,which i argued with him ,saying it pays more and that he knows im out to make a buck for my family ( i was a roofer in my younger days ) .....the problem now is WE are not making the $ ,WE used to make ,not only that but WE are steadily making less &less $ and this will not change unless WE stick together and when WE isolate our colleagues WE are condoning low paying driving jobs , THEY are looking for deisel dummies ,WE are trying to educate our in experienced young men &ladies to say NO to cheap ,low paying driving jobs ,this job can end in instant death and should not be degraded ,it is our responsibly to the public to make our highways safer by pushing back those who are trying to make this career a deadly joke , all the sake of dishonest gain &greed .....i myself stand for repelling deregulation , as it is i stand alone but sooner or later ....WE WILL HAVE FRGT REGULATED AGAIN !!!! someday until then let's see how low we can go
I'm laughing at the O/Os already ,put it that way .....lolhal380 Thanks this. -
No wonder a lot of folks are hesitant to post in this forum - it's the lynch mob mentality at work. Someone cannot just post their experience without being called a liar and worse by the holier than thous here... it gets really danged old to read. Several seem to think it is their internet duty to be PI and forum cop and grill the OP for just posting their experience.
I know that there are some sob stories posted here, but not every one is, so quit treating them like they are all lies, OK?Rooster1291979, superflow and Dna Mach Thank this. -

Exactly my point.
Don't even consider working for a Croatian startup in Chicago. -
