You don't like OTR, you now know this and you can do a job you hate, or find a new job, doing what you like. LTL, regional, a garbage truck, heck, you could be a used car salesman. doctor, lawyer, writer, you could be a camera man. You could be a fireman, policeman, a Senator,
    Heck, you could be President

There are millions of different careers out there. Really.

    I love OTR,
    sure it's annoying at times,
But even being the best meth cook in Albuqurque gets annoying at times.

Where I live, I could get a job hauling local factories freight nation wide, and then backhauling freight back and being home more, I could run daycabs and be home everyday, we even got roll off dumpster drivers nearby that are home every day.

But, I must be an idiot because, I do, What I want to do.

And if and when OTR no longer suits me, I'll find something different.
Maybe, I'll move to an ebola infested state and haul crude oil.

And maybe your buddy, should change the way he drives, so that camera doesn't activate.
It's alright to drive slower then 62, look ahead and slow down for traffic before cramming on the brakes and sending a video in. (or crashing and burning)

So why's everyone ##### about California? Green lighted at 3 scales, went 62 the whole time, got passed by a city kitty and a bear, then passed 2 bears on a ramp waiting to pounce on prey, nada, nothing.

I'd be inclined to say Michigan is more annoying, because a 60 zone means everyone and their dog wants to go 61.5...at least I can pass people in California.

I have the same sentiments about doctors and medicine in general. I got it from my dad who was a WW II veteran, who was seriously injured on final training exercises before D-day. He was in the hospital for 6 mos, went in clean, spent most of those 6 months on IV pain killers...when medically discharges, they pulled the plug on the pain killers as well. Spent another few months kicking the habit...but refused to ever see a doctor unless he was dying and was carried there in an ambulance...the strongest drug he took was Buffrin(I guess that is how it's spelled)...when I tore my leg muscle on Crete's property...ibuprofen. when I had 24 teeth cut out, Alieve and ibuprofen...had the boys disconnected, nothing...it was painless. My wife, on the other hand, started with a thyroid med, then the doctor advised something for what he thinks is fibromyalgia(I don't agree)...then he recommend something for her anxiety, and a water pill..and...and...and....next thing you know she has a small tackle box size pill container for her daily meds. And still has more illness then I ever have...she gets a flu shot, has 3 - 4 colds a year...I seldom even get the sniffles. I've always felt that a doctor is a legal drug dealer being subsidized by pharmaceutical conglomerates. The world is being medicated to death.

I also agree that a company doesn't have the right to force you into something like a sleep study, unless....the drivers actions dictate one...as in an accident that can be attributed to a sleepy driver or fatigue. That or the safety department gets repeated calls about a driver driving erratically. When they recommend or require a driver to get a sleep study, it is done on the guise of safety, but if challenged, they bring up the health issues associated with OSA...if it's a safety issue, show me where my driving was a safety issue, if it's a health issue, what business does the safety department have getting involved...

I gotta say, those mandarin oranges I pulled out of the dumpster at Lincoln didn't last long, I tossed them this morning, due to molding.

Still no Ebola here, glad I ain't been to Texas

This Ebola deal is so overblown...2 nurses who didn't take the proper precautions and the original patient have it(or had it since the dude died)...the news makes it sound like it isn't safe to go outside...but like bad gas from last night double XL bean burrito...this too shall pass.

My son was all concerned since I am in and out of the DFW area at Poly so often...I had to remind him that more people have died from the flu in this country than Ebola.

so i get to a shipper, I meet another shaffer driver.. he tells me he's been here 6 hours and ain't in no door yet.
long story short I've been here nearly 6 hours myself now, they tell me they don't even have all the product yet and they can't start loading me or let me leave until they do.
I ask.. any idea when you'll have it? they said no clue.

things were running good my first few months here but not I've been getting blasted with terrible detentions. At least i got paid for my last one.

ebola takes fluid to mucus membrane contact to transmit, or direct to the blood stream through a cut. Ebola dies quickly when exposed to sunlight. there are no confirmed cases of it being spread via a sneeze, like the flu can. Easy to prevent the spread of, via isolation of the infected, which is exactly how the governments is africa are handling it.... by isolating the villages that are infected. Well at least until the we must help everyone people got involved, and allowed people to leave the infected and isolated zones.
