I would go in and fight the ticket based on this simple thing, the cop cited you for the wrong violation. Get a copy of what the criminal code is that he cited you for, as listed in here. I'm assuming that Kommifornia isn't much different than the rest of the country, go in, plead not guilty, set it for trial. Then, get all you ducks in a row. Drive the route in your 4 wheeler, find the signs that he claims are present, if there are no signs, go back and drive the route with a friend and video it, showing that there are no signs. Then show the judge that you were cited for the wrong infraction, and even so, there are no markings anywhere to show that trucks are prohibited.

Also, go to the library or see if you can find a lawyer that does free initial consultation, find the criminal code manual for that area, find out if the D.A. is allowed to amend a ticket after the trial starts, if they are not, you're golden. From this standpoint, the cop cited you wrong, unless the judge is a prick as well, he will be forced to dismiss the charge as the wrong citation. BTW, fi you plead not guilty and go to trial, you will be able to confront the officer as well.

All this talk about the BS in Cali, I'm supposed to go there on vacation next year, starting to rethink it.

    Quick Question

I'm Looking at My MVR right now..
There is 2 tickets I got and the OFFENSE DATE is November 1, 2011
But the CONVICTION DATE is December 15, 2011 which indicates the date I paid the Tickets
Does the tickets fall off and no longer count against me on November 1st 2014 which is 3 years from the date of the offense
OR Does it really fall off really on December 15,2014 which is 3years from the conviction date indicating the day I paid the ticket

Not Quite Sure.. Somebody get me correcct

    @ nizzy100
the answer is 3 years from the incident date. So yes, that would be November 1, 2014. Then the next time they update their computer systems. You may want to call the department of public safety a week after that date to make sure it has fallen off.

    nizzy100 Thanks this.
