I have been driving for 6 years 2 with Celadon 3 months as L/P havent brought home less than $725 after taxes most $1263 i have a lone star love it great truck one thing all of you seem to forget is all of these companies that hire students or train them with in a school are going to have a high turn over because on average a 20 yr old thinks he has a dream job until they get out here and relize what it really is like out here or what being away from loved ones is like so your going to have alot of turn over a lot then you got new guys plus & some what experianced drivers with less than 2 yrs on the road thinking they can run a trucking business lol again epic fail roped in by new trucks home time when they want but no money or bus. skills result turn over and then they fish on these sites for people with the same results and bad mouth a company. as a l/p with celadon its a 100% walk away lease you can go back to compay driver if you do jack things up to bad as a l/p bumper to bumper war. truck payment on rolling miles only go home for a week only pay the extras qual com insurance ex. hit 180,000 miles there about you paid off the truck get a good acountant that knows about laws for trucking listen to the business advisers they have you should do fine

funny how you have been driving for 6 years 2 with Celadon 3 months as L/P but yet on SEPT 5 2014 you had a post asking what its like working for CELADON ?

hit 180,000 miles there about you paid off the truck :biggrin_25521: At 10,000 miles a month that's 18 months to pay off a BRAND NEW LONESTAR that's 1 heck of a per mile payment seeing its only generates $0.94 / mile + $0.35 FSC

It's good to hear from drivers that are ambitious and manage to succeed with companies like this one, but it does not change the facts that these companies do bottom feed and decieve naive drivers with half truths and some just plain lies. Then it typically takes the planners/dispatch time to distinguish between those drivers who run hard and go the extra mile and those who are lazy and dont. In that time a good driver can fail too and the company doesn't give a hoot if they help contribute to the financial ruin of a responsible driver just trying to succeed. Its just business as usual as long as they get their freight hauled and collect on the bills. Crank em out of the mill, haul the freight and get paid. That is the companies #1 agenda. Thats what makes it wrong. They let the lazy steering wheel holders weed themselves out and the decent ones get caught up in the mix, all the while the company makes big $$.

:biggrin_25523:I was asking about the lease my friend and if your a smart man you should have figured out I put money down like any smart business man would do. but you can take it for what you want i will say the lease info from Celadon is very basic but is sometimes different per driver and how long they have been w/ company. and what kind of deal you can make. Didnt try to miss lead you driver I am not on here to ######## and give jacked info.
